New Product - SMSL DL300

I have no issues with the "crackles" on DL300 at all (at least for now). Daily usage output mode - 32/384. Switching Dolby Atmos for Headphone on and off, playing DSD, MQA and Hi-Res, go to sleep and wakeup PC - all scenarios works well.
I think the reason for the "crackles" is most likely due to the connected devices, the motherboard, or the USB cable.

Does anybody know if the DO300EX has the same issues? It looks like essentially the same DAC and, as of this writing, Amazon is selling it for less than the DL300. But I wouldn't bother if it's going to "crackle".
I bought my DO300EX from Amazon/Aoshida in Jun of this year and aside from a barely noticeable click when powering on from standby mode, I can report absolutely no crackling issues. After a month or so I decided it was time to install the Windows USB driver as I wanted to see (hear) whether going from the default max PCM resolution of 96khz to the designed max was worth pursuing. To my ears, I cannot hear/sense an improvement but that may be the due to the files I play which are maxed out at 96khz. Something I found amusing were the YouTube videos I played were previously displayed on the DO300EX @48khz are now @ 384khz - yeah, right YouTube!

I changed the DL300 to Topping DX9. Now the headphone amplifier's power is enough even for quiet live recordings. Plus, it automatically turns off and on with my PC. And it looks just bombastic!

What problems with the DL300 made you change to the DX9?

In general, DL300 is good enough. But in some albums, it gave out power on the verge of the limit, which means sooner or later it would become a limiting factor. And since mentally during the search I got used to the idea of giving away $1000 for the DAC+AMP device, I decided to take something right away that satisfies all my wishlist and will definitely last much longer. :)
