We all have mobile phones, we all pick a phone for various reasons.
For some people the main use is calling...phoning other friends and receiving phone calls...clear and loud.
For others it's for selfies, and looking @ people they are talking too, like Skype.
For others it's for the waterproof/underwater camera. ...And making movies.
For some it's for the remote control features and face and voice and fingerprint recognition...security and activating your TV remotely @ home...switching between CNN and FOX TV news channels.
Others love surfing the Internet and Googling the world.
Some people like to listen to music and watching movies on their phones.
Some like to have the latest, the newest and the coolest.
Some people go for the name, hardcore fans of Japanese made, South Korea made, China made...Apple, Samsung, Oppo.
Some people buy phone for the design, color, ingenuity.
Others for the features, applications, versatility.
Few for the screen, speakers, home theater in the palm of their hands.

We all buy phones for various reasons; Dolby Vision, 4K, HDR, 120 frames per second, good for 200,000 feet above our planet's surface, good for ten kilometers under the ocean, without a thermo waterproof suit.

Some people buy a phone to go with their shoes and tuxedos when they go to classical music concert halls and football games.

Some people buy phones for the status, the prestige and the reputation.

We all buy phones for various reasons; a mini computer that we can use to buy and sell bitcoins and play on the Wall Street stock exchange. ...NASDAQ too. We can even keep track of the latest rockets in space from NASA and other rocket countries. We can communicate using Russian satellites orbiting the globe. We can even view live pictures from Saturn and Pluto.

This one is for performance; surfing, along all that jazz:

...Best/smoothest Android experience, best Dolby-powered speakers, made for combats during wars...for people driving tanks.

Nougat 7.1 is yesterday's news.

We don't really need to buy new computers in the year 2018; our portable phones can do it all, and have enough memory and power.
Simply amazing what microscopic technology can do now.
A full size computer is no good to remotely control our TVs when watching the news, sports, documentaries, Netflix and movies.
And we can follow bitcoin on the move 24/24 plus buy and sell anywhere...on the train, in an airplane, while driving a Tesla, in a New York cab, ...anywhere.
With a phone today nothing is phony.

I have thought for a couple years not very many people need a computer anymore. Now I do prefer some web activity using a keyboard and mouse and a large screen. One can always connect keyboards and mice with bluetooth. There are a variety of ways to cast a screen onto a TV or desktop monitor. A NAS on your home network lets you have large storage of important items available to your phone or other devices. So at a bare minimum I could hook up a NAS and use my phone nearly never needing an actual computer. The nearly is the problem. If you have good internet service you could even skip the NAS using cloud storage. I still like the feeling of having my stuff in my possession however.

Yes, you can use an HDMI cable adaptor and view 4K and 3D movies from your phone to your front projector screen. Samsung S8 you can, with the right app.

Yes, you can surf the web anywhere on the road from your car.

Yes, you can do everything with your phone; monitor your health, your wealth, your contacts...friends and family, in moving pictures and sounds, monitor your wisdom and happiness level.

Sitting in front of a computer is so ... prehistoric and slave today.
Size is not in front of us, but the entire world around us.

A 10-story screen...IMAX, is in town, for when we want to see bigger with our love; after the Italian restaurant, and before the dancing jazz cabaret.
_____

It's nice to get a reply or two in the phone section; that's what phones were invented in the first place...communication.
Today you take the transit bus and no one is talking to each other anymore; we are programmed to be slave of our electronic devices. Me, I find this totally disorienting.
No wonder AI is gaining on us and that soon enough we'll be all annihilated by our diabolic communication devices.

Sure, we can do anything with our phones today, but we cannot have the physical visual mental emotional touch of when we interact with people around us. Our phones cut those contacts anywhere from 50 to 95%.

We are losing the Earth touch, the mountains view, the people walking all around.
...In general, more and more. We live in Star Wars galaxy Samsung. ...XPad.

We are losing our communication skills on public forums, social media, TV news channels, internet, ... we are losing control, we are judging too quick, we are lost.
