New Neumann KH 310 II and KH 350 Rumors: Leaked Pricing & Info

One KH350 for more then I paid for a pair of KH310's, close in price to the Genelec 8351B.
And I see that the KH420's are now more expensive then the Genelec 8361.

I am sure they are great but I would more heavily gravitate towards the Genelec's then as they can all be used in the nearfield and are cheaper.
Only reason I did not get the KH420 was the minimum listening distance constraint.

Still, you get what you pay for, a speaker designed and build in house by engineers that care and genuinely made the best possible speaker they could.
Buy the amount of power and bass extension you need and never worry about it again.

The fact that even now they think of how to keep their analogue monitors in the loop instead of seeing them as obsolete tells me everything I need to know about the company.
I don't mind spending money on good gear from companies that care.

Only downside is the size of the bundle 310+750….other than that I will run and buy the 310 mk1 before they run out of stock

It is not the only downside. The original KH310 have a pretty wide dispersion pattern and although good, not perfect. I had the 310 + 2x 750s in a small room for a few years, but it was very hard to get to sound correct. Eventually i downgraded to 2x KH 120 II without subs and never regretted it. So in my experience, it depends on the room what works best.
Sadly we don't have the isobars for the 310 II yet. I wonder if they managed to optimize them. But i suspect the 350 to be better in this regard. because of the waveguide for the mids and the vertical design.

I agree with you) but my ears are already not perfect and I want to impress my friends with the big setup)

The Genelec 8351Bs aren’t much more expensive than the Neumann KH 310 IIs. I’m very interested to hear how these two compare.
Are we looking at the same speakers? The 310 II is $6000 a pair and the 8351B is suddenly almost $10,000 a pair. Maybe the situation is different in Europe?

indeed it is. in my country, the 8351bm sells for 3100 per unit.

second hand, the 310 can be purchased for 3000-4000 per pair.

but i still would want the new 310 II because of the DSP/MA1 feature.

Yeah it’s about a 1,000 euro difference on Thomann where I’m from (depending on the colour of the Genelec). I haven’t used either model so would really appreciate peoples thoughts once the 310 II’s are out in the wild.

Europe, pair
€5.958 Neumann KH 310 II
€7.338 Genelec 8351B
Anyone dealt with Neumann support in Europe? I'm curious because my experience w Neumann support in the US was laughable compared to genelec. I know it's easy to compare prices and spec sheets but support is obviously critical in pro environments, and still very important to us enthusiasts

The 310 IIs are realistically not significantly more capable than the 310A in terms of SPL handling; it still runs out very fast at low frequencies. Otherwise, the directivity behavior is basically identical to the 310A, maybe slightly improved vertically. So any comparison between them is very much still relevant.

i vote for 310a/750/ma1 2.2 speaker system which i own.
