New Neumann KH 310 II and KH 350 Rumors: Leaked Pricing & Info

When you put the 8341, 8351 or 8361 on top, the system disables their racetrack woofers in favor of the more directionally-focused radiation of the front 14" woofer, which at the top end of its range matches the +/- 60 degree radiation of the smaller monitors.
That's exactly the thing I don't get.
At 500Hz the radiation of these monitors is definitely not +/- 60°, it's 360° already, and nothing seems to cancel their side radiation.

Not following you. Which graphs are you looking at?

Edit: You meant the smaller monitors? As I said, their woofers are turned off and the W371's woofers take over.

Of course it is. The Haas effect.
Do not confuse the Haas effect with masking, where with masking the subsequent sound is masked and not heard (or not perceived). The reflected sounds absolutely affect the perception of the sound. The only thing they don't do is change the perception of where the sound came from.

Well exactly. I really don’t know what that other guy is arguing. Lots of contradictions in all those words.
Haas is relevant because we don’t perceive separate sounds, they are masked to our brain as non-separate events, but they are still affected by the reflections, comb filtering etc. The other guy was apparently arguing that room treatment is irrelevant, or something.
 
I think Neumann should innovate more
Have drivers bigger than 10 inch, maybe do a coaxial speaker
I'm not saying they're not good I just want to see new stuff from them
And maybe who knows, finally a new tweeter ;)

Their recent works on the kh120 II's and kh150's are top level innovation, it's not shiny, it's low profile work on hidden parts, but the results are clear.

He has made extensive measurements which demonstrate the performance of Neumann KH150s, including disassembling one. Standout is the pair deviation measurement, multitone measurements and the large signal parameter measurements demonstrating the linearity of the woofer.

Can't put into words how often i ponder whether I should have tested the kh150s instead of jumping straight to the 3 ways...

WTF, KH 350 is larger than KH420 (645 x 330 x 444 mm), it's a 122 L speaker.

Hope it's a misprint.<

I find the website way too "marketinged" now. Too much scrolling past prepared text and graphical elements. Plus there were several errors in the HTML creating empty boxes and the like.

Still no graphs or other detailed performance data.
