It looks like transducers used in Seven are exactly the same as in Three. There is no logic to be otherwise.

Somehow the tweeter looks different - looks like a metal dome with a phase shield to me , also elliptical WG ... could be wrong though.

Mesanovic CDM65 also has its Stereo Hub for streaming, measures great, is also cardiod, has deeper bass extension and costs less. Tough competition here.

Either way you make a good point about production costs. I assume this product is meant to increase visibility in their target markets, leading to increased sales. An attempt to scale and assume more risk as a larger business.

Barely any competition, IMHO. Honestly, the CDM65, while being objectively a great performer, is nowhere near a "lifestyle" speaker (I mean, let's say the hard truth: it's ugly). Competion should look more like this:

This one just doesn't belong with the rest of the speakers in your post. It's just fugly.

I'd buy them for reliability alone
Obviously I'm not saying Kii is not reliable I just prefer speakers with less tech in them like Wifi and stuff
Also I prefer larger drivers vs multiple smaller ones

Also https://ggntkt.de/en/model-m1/ is a tough competitor with great measurements, cardioid and similar price.

Fair point. IMO the Mesanovic CDM65 in that dark grey is too industrial and professional looking for the living room. If only they had them in glossy white or strong colors, or matte wood veneers, add some grills, then it would look "lifestyle" too, imo.

Plastic works well in many use cases but it’s still plastic and I guess I’m just an anti-plasticite.

Speaking of Kii Three…there’s a new pair on CAM for CAD$8500. Apparently one needs a mid driver replaced. Is this something that is owner-serviceable or does this mean a return to Kii?

The cabinet is extremely high quality. What you call it, or preconceived notions about it aren't relevant to it's actual quality.
