New Kii Seven

Kii and Purifi are completely different companies that happen to have one of the shareholders in common. Why should the decisions at Kii be driven by the financial interest of this single shareholder?
I think that Bruno is more than a mere shareholder in them...

Nice that it has balanced analog input and a low latency mode.

As previously mentioned, it seems to be missing a sub out which which is a minus.

And ofc relying on a phone app is bad since they usually suck, are soon unsupported, and occasionally just pulled from distribution.

It does support the Kii Remote though it is expensive too...

For volume control?

Most importantly for the static settings like phase correction on/off and input selection.

But how many people even using the software volume control on a pair of speakers like this anyway? I'm not sure why you would unless maybe you only use the built in streaming. I get that with a single mono speaker in the kitchen or something but is someone paying 7K+ for a pair of stereo speakers in their living room or on their desk and then using the internal streaming as their only source? Not hooking them up to their preamp/TV/AVR/computer/whatever that already has a volume control?

Do the Threes now support WiFi? If not, how does one integrate them?
AFAIK the Three is unchanged as far as connectivity. It's best used with the Control digital hub.

The Seven does that too but also the WiFi + app thing, so more "lifestyle" I guess...

The Seven also appear to have touchscreen LCD on their backs, so far from simple DIP switches.

I also wonder why they decided to protect the front drivers with metal meshes but left the side woofers unprotected?

The Kii Control is a digital preamp. You mentioned dip switches.

Good point. Do we have pricing on the Kii 7 yet?

Yeah, especially given that it rolls off at 40hz I'm starting to rethink whether this is "not" a "lifestyle speaker"... despite the claimed excellent on-axis performance above that. That's probably harsh. But I'm more of a 20hz or GTFO guy, so don't ask me.
For many people 40 hz is enough. It's a big market Kii is going for. Plus you can buy just one. Don't need two.

Nice!
