New KEFs coming

Ooh, 3-way fully coax I love it! Integration with the turntable is only possible thanks to the true source point design.

Here is my guess. Or at least what ASR really wants - uni-q with phased array lower mids for cardioid response (woofers on the back too)!

Maybe listening height isn't optimal, I think we'll need an extra woofer on the bottom.

The design looks fresh and if you look close you see touch buttons on top. I hope the woofer is bigger then 5".

KEF/Genelec hybrid… looks wacky, but KEF already has LS60 for lower frequency directivity control.

Historically the Coda line did not use coaxials, so Mae of it what you will… they were a relatively budget friendly model line though.

This is so exciting because, after 50 years of fooling around with hi-fi, I'll finally be able to find that elusive "soul" of sound I've been looking for!

Also, KEF speakers already measure among the best, so what are they going to do to attain this "soul" of sound, color the sound up a bit?
Well, they claim vinyl is 'authentic' in its warmth and those pics no doubt created by an advertising agency, have a turntable plonked on a stylish sideboard with some LS50s just sat either side of it (a feedback-lovers' paradise right there).

They're not the company they were in my day (shuffles off on his 'Zimmer Frame...')

From above link:

"There’s a moment of pure magic when the needle finds its groove. It’s the warm, authentic richness that only vinyl can deliver. It’s music in its most honest form.

At KEF, we believe in honouring the soul of your music. That’s why we are crafting something special. Imagine experiencing the profound depth of HiFi, a speaker designed for a direct, plug-and-play connection that brings your turntable to life with impeccable clarity. Then, shift seamlessly to the untethered freedom of wireless streaming.

It’s about more than just listening; it’s about rediscovering every note. It’s designed for those who cherish the authentic crackle of a record but also demand the seamless convenience to stream anything else, anytime.

Prepare to hear your favourite songs – and your cherished vinyl collection – like never before. To feel the music, not just hear it."

I got the first leaked photo :p

Put some serious engineering to this, make a seriously powerful uni-Q and watch it flip vinyls like a juggler :p

As far as I understand the ls60 just has standard side firing woofers, not really anything going on to increase LF directivity besides the center-center spacing. Kinda OTT, but this thread doesn't seem very serious anyway :)

Rectangular box from the teaser could mean it's an R3 meta derivative. That's also the obvious price gap between LS60 and LS50. There's a bit of room between LS50 and LSX I suppose but this looks bigger than those.

I appreciate the selection of colors offered for the KEF Coda W. KEF joins Focal Audio in offering a loudspeaker in 'Moss Green'.

I was kind of hoping to see VECO.

What am I missing? This seems like a moderately priced modernized wireless system enhanced by marketing. The Uni-Q doesn’t seem to include their highly trumpeted “Meta” sound absorption maze. Being from KEF, I expect that it is a well engineered high-quality system for the price. But it seems more intended as a product for people with a contemporary tech perspective who do not have the desire or see the need to spend a lot of money.

I think it is a smart move by KEF as I believe there are many folks who will love and be well served by this system. But in many ways it is a reshuffling of existing technologies marketed with a fresh appearance for select audiences.
