It is, indeed. Initially it was suited to be paired with LS50 Meta/W2, that aren't bass monsters either. I guess it is fine for that purpose. But you clearly buy some lifestyle product instead of raw performance here. BTW, he will also review the SVS 3000 Micro (same vibe) soon.

Yes but they are as Erin says extremely neat and customers whose partners wouldn’t allow them subs previously accede to the small Kefs.

i'd never pay full price on it, thankfully got it for a price of a SVS Micro on a black friday deal

it's nicely filling where the R3's won't go (in a smaller european living room), even on bass heavy music
driven from a Topping E30 the auto-power can be a PITA on lower volumes (interesetingly enough, didn't have that issue when going through a RME DAC, it had a full-range signal comming in there, tho)

tbh, didn't expect any wonder from it tho, you can't beat physics (there's just no replacement for displacement)

While not quite as small, The SVS SB1000pro is capable of 11dB more output at 20 Hz while still being tiny and at 1/3rd the cost.

What is it with subs that brings all these "you can get much more SPL cheaper, this is complete trash"-complaints. In almost all other categories people spend a few thousand more for example 4k€ for pair of Genelec 8331 and everybody is like "yeah, it's a bit steep but reasonable".

Disclaimer: proud owner of KF92 pair here. Yeah, they are overpriced, wouldn't recommend to anyone, but I liked the product and manufacturer, can afford them no problem and they have more oomph than I could ever need in my current apartment.

I still dont kef why kef like that much using small drivers for bass, for example the kef reference 5 should be at least quad 8”
And the kf92 i still dont see the measurement but guys please remember these are cea measurements and not in room, these are for small space and are going to gain some good subbass quantity
I still need to see the KC92, for now Rythmik F12 is my winner at that price point and still being small

to be honest i always see proud owners for the KF92, i saw 1 in room measurements and that thing go 20hz at 94dB in a FB group
Pd: I didn't find the FB KF92 measurement, but im pretty sure it was around 90dB~ and flat 20hz in his room

Sounds about right for one. I think Shane Lee from youtube got about 100dB from 10-100Hz for two.

You got me a bit lost. The first subwoofer released was the KF92, then the KC62 was released, right?

What are, size aside (that includes SPL and so on), the differences between the KF and the KC? I mean, adjustment and feature wise, the seem to be larger or smaller version of the same thing.

The kc62 is newer, it come with the unicore thing +p-flex surround. KC is 6.5”x2 vs kf92 9”x2.
Maybe in the future the KC92 from kef comes with the new tech from the kc62, if they wanna create the kc62.. but bigger like the kf92

Only the Kc62, its a newer thing only in the kc62 and ls60

I got the KC62 and it does indeed reach 11 hz. At 94 db at 1 meter? No, not even close. The KF perhaps may reach those numbers.

It's a small room. Couldn't find the measurements or even a good picture but I'd guess the subs are 2,5, 3m at most from the listening position.

OK, forget about the cost. 80dB max output at 20Hz is not that impressive. I wouldn't recommend these Kefs to anyone who could fit a SVS SB1000 pro or bigger.
