New JBL closed back measurements

Hi there! I've bought the JBL 710tb, and they sounds great! Even without any eq presets.

My AKG 371 (already sold) are much less comfortable and sounded worse than the JBL 710bt imho.
They have very cool natural noise reduction due to the fact that the ear pads are deep, and my ears easily sink into them.

I found the frequency response and measurements for 710bt here. Thanks a lot @solderdude for the measurements!

Just got the Tune 770NC and they sound great, ANC on or off. Not sure how close they measure to the 760NC but there seems to be a slight difference in Rting's measurements and I'm not picking up on any real issues, it's a tight Harman-esque tonality with an appropriate bass shelf. No muddying, it's got clean flat mids and crisp treble, no unpleasant peaks, plus warm enough bass with great subbass extension. It gets a little overbearing in complex/noisy passages and the soundstage isn't ginormous (nor tiny) but music sounds as it should. Great value and great work JBL!!
Also surprisingly competent when wired and passive. The subbass shelf seems to be removed but would be interested in passive vs active measurements of this set. As @isostasy mentioned I wouldn't be surprised if it measures like the 710bt when passive.

Some things to know:
  • The earpads are quite small, these will be semi-on-ear for most adults. Not really a long-wearing workdesk headphone but there seems to be good memory foam here and I'm yet to have severe comfort issues. They're also user-replaceable.
  • Light plastic build with very keenly-moving joints but it still feels well-machined.
  • ANC can be disabled via the app and the setting stays.
  • Can be used wired with power on or off.
  • Don't expect magic or audio nirvana. It's simply a well-tuned sub-$200 headphone.
