My interpretation is this is Samsung management leveraging JBL Pro technology into a new line that is nowhere near as expensive as Everest.

My interpretation of the Everest is that it is overpriced by about $30,000 no $50,000 no wait make that $70,000.

I think I heard a pair in a bar in Japan.

Nothing jumped out at me.

Very interesting! Any more info?

Looks like more of Samsung leveraging of the M2 technology into a living room friendly speaker. It makes me wonder if the 4367 is going to be replaced. My impression is the non pro JBL line had a big hole in the middle and these new designs are meant to fit between the low end consumer gear and the uber expensive Everest line. They look kind of exciting. However, what looks like the death of the Ultima2 line doesn't look so wonderful.

Supposedly it's a new 2 1/2 way design with 12 inch woofs and a refined D2430, but hush-hush since it's not official. Warning included that it may take a few years until it hits the market. At least that's correct...

That roadmap looks realistic. If they want to stay ahead of the game, they need to step up ;)

I'm hoping to hear them at the Tampa Audio Show next weekend. If I do I'll report on them here.
Very interested in the standmount 6.5-inch, 2-way HDI-1600 bookshelf loudspeaker, and the quad 5.25-inch, 2.5-way HDI-4500 center channel loudspeaker as an upgrade to my current multichannel rig.

I really wish they'd make them in matte or gloss.

I don't think the natural wood blends well with the plastic wave guides very well.

My feeling as well.
Funny how taste varies, I love the walnut finish.
A choice of three beautiful finishes are available on all models: painted high-gloss black, satin walnut wood veneer, and satin gray oak wood veneer.

No, I'd take a pair at the right price, and make them work.
Ray, I know what your thinkin with AcourateDRC,
How about a pair of 4367's, They're a whole lot less money at $15K
