thats a really good price if theyre only a few weeks old like he said. keep in mind the farther away you drive, the farther dealer support will be if theres ever an issue. though unlikely there will ever be one. im routinely driving my 4367's to pretty high spl. if something woulda broke, it would have broke a while ago. i dont think you can push these to breaking point unless you tried to, 94dB sensitivity means even a 50wpc amp will rarely if ever be pushed near its limit. if you have a big room you might need 150w, 300w if youre biamping the tweeter and woofer separate.

high sensitivity is much more important then you would think.

But that crossover...

Beginning for a room corrector to bypass it and go full DSP / external active amps.
If you're wanting to dsp and external crossover and bypass the internal one in the 4367 I truly believe you are better off hunting down a pair of M2 instead of 4367.

please note I did say that you are better off searching for the m2 if you intend to bypass the internal crossover of the 4367.

I wish I could have gotten M2 instead but it was significantly more expensive for me and the pair didn't come with the crown amps which I would have had to purchase second hand. since they are 5k usd a pair normally. I've seen at least one pair of M2 go on sale at a good price in the last 12 months but they were a pair in british columbia and not sure if I would want to deal with the shipping process.

That's what happened with @dallasjustice . He started out with the 4367 but went to the M2 a little latter.
He was thinking about ripping out the crossover in 4367 to go active but then found an M2 for a good price (I think). Since M2 is all active, it made it easier for him.

Then again, I was just thinking, aren't we getting a little audiophile OCD compulsive here?
With the 4367 your buying a very expensive, well designed speaker from one of the primere speaker builders in the world.
Yea there's probably no passive speaker in the world who's in-room performance couldn't be improved thru DRC and crossover, but out of the box I'm sure they sound amazing.
Most people would be completely satified to just plug them into a quality amp and play music.
There's a lot to be said with "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." LOL

My wife would never allow those coffins in our living room
The M2 don't look much different then the 4367 in black walnut, especially if you keep the grilles on.

I suppose that precludes both models from your living room in that case... which is why Harman also markets and sells the Revel line of speakers. They are meant for you!

OH, jeepers, to each their own., already! o_O
Me, I happen to LOVE my aesthetically pleasing bi-amped 45yr old L200s modded to three ways with 4367 woofers (2216ND1) in 'em. Best of both worlds, MCM pretty AND functional as all get out.
Just ran my first RTA sweep on 'em since the OktoDAC install - dead flat across the range (pink noise).
But if I HAD to chose new stuff, I'd pick 4367s and bi-amp 'em with some active DSP/xover options upstream...still not as pretty as L200s though...
(And I've spent time listening to M2s (DIY) and found them just a tad bright/'honest'.)
Carry on.

One is 50 inches tall.

The other is 37 inches tall.

Big difference to go from waist height to wife-chest height.

She's a crappy cook.

I'd rather have her stay in the home office, earning paper.
Thats a good plan, then you'll have the cash to go to 7.4.6 and really fill the room with sound. :D

When I was still in Chicago, I had a 24x14x9 living room.
I kept a low backed recliner in the middle that I could move around easy.
When I faced north I was looking at my La Scala's, tube amps, 2x 7' tall HSU subwoofer w/SS amps, etc.
When I faced south I was looking at a 50" TV with a 5 channel surround rig with Paradigm speakers and Adcom electronics, it was also tied into the monster HSU subs at the north end.
Too bad we didn't have any Atmos back then. LOL

How do I play the vinyls in that format?

:eek:o_O;)
With either Dolby, DTS, or Auro-3D multich upsampling. I recommend Auro, It would sound amazing. ;)

My current speakers are 71"/1800mm tall, without footers or spikes.

Try again.
