It's pretty cool but I'm dissapointed it didn't get the 4 mid drivers like 8381

What do you think of the appearance?

I think it looks pretty cool and impressive. Kind of awesome, even.

We'll see if the 8380a model gets a little brother, or if it's going to be discontinued altogether. The price difference between the Ones series 8361, which costs around €10,000, and this new model, which costs €16,000, is quite small, but the sound pressure, bass power, and sound image are significantly improved.

The old Master series 1238a also costs around €15,000 per pair, so it will probably disappear from the market quite quickly.

+local taxes (VAT). So it is close to 10k€ each in EU.
Still on the cheap side for mains, even if smaller like that.

I wonder if the class AB choice for highs is to address hiss as the coaxial must be REALLY sensitive to hit such SPL with its modestly powered amps.

I was thinking the same thing.
But aren't hypex and other high quality digital amps nearly silent as well? The Genelec claims 0db self noise so that's... quite a high bar, ha.
