New Dutch&Dutch loudspeakers.

You don't need isolators with sound anchor stands.
If you use the Wiim you'll need rca to xlr adapter for analog. You'll need an impedance converter for 75 Ohm coax to 110 Ohm AES/EBU if you go digital.
Thank you. Can anybody recommend a good impedance converter for 75 Ohm coax to 110 Ohm AES/EBU?

If you have Roon do you need the Wiim, and the Roo extend?

Neutrik NADITBNC-MX or Canare BCJ-XP-TRC.

With these passive converters, Neutrik NADITBNC-MX or Canare BCJ-XP-TRC you would need a RCA to BNC adaptor as well like this.

Another option is powered converter like the Mutec -1.1+ or Hosa CDL-313.

I assume the reason for a Wiim is you use some streaming service you can't get through Roon ?

That is correct, Wiim can stream some radio stations and other services I like that Roon cannot.

This is good to know but why is this? I have Hardwood floors thus cannot use carpet spikes. I thought the GAIA isolators would protect the floors and offer some additional vibration isolation.

Vibration isolation from the floor?
Felt pads are useful and much cheaper for protecting the floor.

GAIA is fairly expensive, but that's your call, Isolation Discs that are reasonably priced to go under spikes work as well for floor protection. I think Sound Anchor have floor protection disc or levelers for their stands.

Or a correspondingly terminated coaxial cable. And if you use RCA-BNC adapters keep in mind that you need the 75 ohm ones (there are also 50 ohm variants).

if the 6c's can reproduce full range up to 85-90db it would be revolutionary

imagine the portability for musicians/professionals, and if the price point is <$6k it would open it up to such a larger audience. could see taking market dominance over ATC, PMC, Adam, Genelec etc..

When would a passive or powered converter be best?

That's something you might ask Dutch and Dutch or @Purité Audio might know if the passive converters will work with the 8c. They probably will but I would want to know for sure before I bought anything.
@Martijn Mensink and @Jannis - Dutch & Dutch and @Purité Audio I wonder if you might comment on this?

Goal is to get a digital signal from a Wiim Ultra (or similar device without native AES/EBU outputs) into the 8c.

There are active SPDIF converters such as the Mutec -1.1+ or Hosa CDL-313 or Hosa ODL312 or passive options such as Neutrik NADITBNC-MX or Canare BCJ-XP-TRC. It seems to me simpler is better thus passive might be a better option, but seeking opinions from the experts before I mail order a bunch of gear.

If the cable is not too long there is no need to care about the impedance adaptation, just get a cable with the appropriate beginning/end. Or use the Neutrik NADITBNC-MX to be sure.
