If you tested it some time ago you should redo the test.
Not too long ago Roon improved their system a lot to better fit the needs of classical listeners.
Thanks for the suggestion but having a plethora of different services with reasonably frequent updates is one of the reasons I gave up on streaming!
My son has a family Apple subscription for his family and put me on as 6th family member so I could try Apple Classical. I have about 7000 CDs and LPs and it is fairly rare I want to listen to something I don’t have.
I have a Sooloos Control 15 I haven’t used in ages and a lovely looking but obtuse to use NVA PC based streamer, I forget the name of the software.
I have had a Roon trial, Pure vinyl, Amarra and several others all of which have kept pointlessly changing over the years whereas my CDs can still be found where I file them since before file based music was invented.
Before I retired I was travelling for work all the time and a file based music system was a boon, I just put classical works in playlists, but now I have retired I have stopped bothering.
With my Devialet I have a flexible phono stage, enough digital and analogue inputs and a remote control with a rotary volume control so I am ergonomically satisfied.
I would like to try the D&D but know from experience of the excellent Phantoms I wouldn’t use them because of the human interface being a grumpy old bloke with Asperger’s.
