What they are capable of seem to defy all expectations. My experience with the 8c was that it was already more than capable in even large rooms.

The 8c is not tiny... that 15c is a monster! This is an interesting size comparison.

At that price they should have been activeNow your ready for ROCK & ROLL..
In that price range I've been having fantasy dreams about the new JBL Summit Makalu $60,000.00
But that's a passive speaker so you gotta add amps..

So this is basically like hanging two washing machines in your livingroomView attachment 504229Yeah, it most definitely hits different with a banana!
My guess is 90K for a pair.
15C will have higher SPL capabilities. The purifi 12inch cardioid system from Ascilabs may be a contender? Iam also guessing will be considerably cheaper.

The current C8C+B8XC model has about 120 L external volume. 15C is about 250-300L from visual estimations. Even of the future Purifi model is bigger than the C8C+B8XC, I doubt it will come close to the 15C's size. You can do a lot with driver technology but imho, that's probably too large of a size gap to overcome and I have no doubt that D&D will also use very good drivers.
I do think it will be cheaper, but not because the Ascilab model will be cheap, but because the 15C will be very very pricey.
Well one issue is that there is no Purifi 12" woofer.I was thinking a total of 6 12inch Purifi drivers per speaker - 2 on the sides, and 4 in the bass module. Thats if AscLab follow the same design as the C8C/BX8C. No idea what volume it will be. Knowing AsiLab - they now have a target/challenge with the 15C!
