I purchased several of them and all worked well up to 24/192. OTOH, some of the active ones were not capable of more than 24/96 due, obviously, to the active circuitry.

There will be a smaller one , not quite as powerful but smaller foot print and more sympathetic to residential environment. It will have better connectivity and more advanced electronics inside with more advanced internal software than the 8c.
