I'll be running mine in parallel with a large air core for a net Zmin of 3.0 and sensitivity of roughly 85dB.

Might actually be a dB or two higher, we'll see. It said 83dB/1W, so add 6dB for a 2.83V of 89dB, and then likely 82dB after coil insertion loss and baffle-step.

Anybody notice that the E180 not only has much higher distortion than the E150, it also has a completely different Le(x) curve: half the inductance, and fairly symmetrical, whereas the E150 has an odd looking curve with higher inductance on coil out. One has to wonder if the Klippel was operated right or QC with these drivers is lacking.

I am still amazed how to die for good Klippel curves can lead to mediocre distortion in the E150. The SB textreme as well as the Esoteric 5.5 perform better except below 50 Hz.

Any kits utilizing the E150He yet, i'm looking to build some compact monitors. Still seems like a really tremendous value speaker for the money.
