Thanks, and I have read that post before. Is it updated?
I am a private person and unless pushed, am not volunteering to tell the world what I have. With respect to topic of this thread, I have Revel Salon 2 speakers and don't intend to change them. Likely ever! It is now driven by an Eversolo streamer and Mark Levinson and Premare amplification.

Yes that is all well and good , but what colour is your underwear? And does it match your socks? Come on Amir! In the interests of transparency of course.

I do appreciate his basic subjective impressions as he often seems to listen to similar music to myself (Amir doesn't)
Using music to test speakers should have nothing to do with what you like as a genre. And if you do this frequently, you would hate such music after hundreds of play so best to not pick such anyway!

I also listen to everything other than country music. My test tracks range from rap to new age, classical and vocals. All picked for specific reasons to stress speakers and headphones.

Do you mean Primare? If so would you mind saying which model? Any chance of a review?

I had an A25 a few years ago and liked it a lot.

Yes, it is an i3. I won it in a charity auction some 20 years ago. It has a wonderful remote and display so I have used it all this time. I only use it as a preamp btw.

And sure, if one day I have nothing to do :), I will test it.

I think Amirm's smartest choice now would be not to review Ascilab anymore to keep integrity.
I’ve been thinking about this some more and now think that the best thing is for as many outlets as possible to review them, including ASR. As we know, most reviewers are subjective, but that’s the game and it’s all essentially marketing/pr/awareness.

I think the smartest choice for us all would be, that every speaker from AsciLab should be reviewed as soon as possible. And I personally have no doubt, that I can absolutely rely on Amir's data. And that's all that matters to me.

Erin's too. The Klippel takes out a lot of guesswork

First off congrats on bringing a really nice looking speaker, based on measurements, to the US. They are manufacturing their speakers to have a flat frequency response. They have a klippel, so all Amir or Erin are gonna be able to do is verify those results. That said, these speakers DO NOT have the highest preference score. They are extremely power hungry and to this point somewhat limited in larger spaces. They should have things like model number, and serial numbers on the back near binding posts like every other speaker since the dawn of time. They are not perfect so when your sell your KEFs and Genelecs give me a shout. But they are at a great price, look nice (my opinion) and put to shame many designs costing magnitudes more. It’s probably a really smart investment and I wish Amir, his brother and Ascilab great success. So long as we don’t see bias ASR has nothing to worry about.

In that vein he should not have reviewed anything from Harman/Revel/Mark Levinson/JBL/... or Dan Clark or ... Sennheiser or ... anything he owns or is associated with.
That would have removed a long list of great products...

Peace.

I'm curious who wants to buy ASR?
In my professional opinion Amir could probably ask and get $1M+ for this site by the end of the week. More if he was patient.

The SEO value of this site is insane. Google pretty much anything Amir has reviewed and ASR shows up near the top. All you need to do to make $$$ is add affiliate links to every review (which could even be done in an automated fashion) and you've got a tidy income. Each sale you generate from those links can be worth a few percent of retail.

Then, pop a few ads on each page... . Advertisers could pay $10+ CPM and so without even working out the details, it's worth $100k per month aide from affiliate links.

Then, if you want to get really greedy, you could start selling reviews probably for $10k each, maybe more. This is almost what third tier YouTube influencers charge, and a good ASR review is worth more to certain brands. This would kill the site pretty quickly, but you would make your money back and much more before Google figured out what was going on.

Source: I work in advertising now (buying and selling, albeit on a modest scale) and these are my rule of thumb estimates based on what I see in our own and other inventory day to day.

Also in advertising for the last 30 years. I would agree this site is worth the money you are talking. It would be a large risk for a buyer. Once paid advertising is introduced this site becomes the 2025 version of Stereophile quickly. All of a sudden $500 cables are worth it cause they are terminated correctly and you like the housing. It is a slippery slope.

Yep, the type of person or business who could and would buy the site for an ad property is (IMO) not likely to have the judgement or restraint to avoid killing the golden goose. But they could still walk away with 7 figures in profit after a year or so, even doing things a bit carelessly.

I think you misunderstood or mis-read my post. I’m saying ASR should review Ascilab. Essentially carry on normal. I’m also suggesting that for Ascilab to be a success it will need to be reviewed by as many people as possible to get maximum exposure.

This is good news! This is exactly the kind of company that I think represents the values of the members here and has rightfully earned support for their effort. I anticipate great things from this partnership.

Congratulations Amir! I wish you the very best, and I hope to be a customer soon!
