After all he could have said nothing and no one would have been any the wiser. I see it as Amir is putting his money where is mouth is. Backing well engineered products is after all part of this forum isn’t it.?
If this new company starts trying to sell cable lifters, shatki stones and multi thousand pound fuses, that is a different matter. I don’t think for one minute it will.

I think a part of why these are sold out is because then you have to buy them through the proper channels. I don’t think you’re going to be able to make any more purchases online in the US.

As a non-native speaker, I tried to google it and found nothing conclusive.

Here is a thought: if this venture becomes very successful, and can afford a large industrial space, I would move the Klippel NFS there. And with the labor at the ready and such luxuries as forklifts, etc., be able to test any size speaker!

Congratulations Amir! One thing I love about ASR is exposing where the king is not wearing any clothes. Supporting a great product that is the opposite is a worthy cause. It might be too late but the only thing I would change is the name. They tried to break down a larger name using fragments but it just does not work very well. I am guessing they decided that in-house instead of using a marketing company. Not sure of the pronunciation, but is looks like Ass Kill Lab, which is not a good connotation. Better just to come up with a good, easily pronounceable name rather than a construct of fragments.

If Amirm reviews these speakers ( which I hope he does) I would expect him to honestly detail the positive and negative aspects of each offering. Nothing is produced without tradeoffs, and it would be interesting to discover how these are managed from an insider’s perspective.

I absolutely believe he would be meticulously honest and likely over critical. I don’t say this to gather favor, but simply as a result of what I’ve observed over the years.

t’s surprising that a website with pretensions to science apparently isn’t aware of the difference between science journals and commercial operations like AES.

I don't know everything but I do know more than you. AES has a peer review journal that is run like any other such entity. This forum would not exist without the published research at AES. More below.

For example, the NSF, like all reputable journals, has a conflict policy, https://www.nsf.gov/policies/conflict-of-interest, that makes absolutely clear than ANY financial interests are forbidden.

What? National Science Foundation is not a journal. It is an arm of the US government which hands out billions of dollars in grants. Surely they would have written guidelines to avoid conflict of interest between grantor and grantee. That said, I know people who have taken advantage of NSF grant program to fund their pet projects which they then took to market later and made money from it. And I suspect like anything else government related, corruption exists.

Even with those guidelines, there is no admonishment of having conflict of interest. Only that when specific situation arises, it be notified and refrain from specific decision making. Same situation applies here to my conduct. To wit, when I am engaged in arguments with members, I rarely if ever, use my moderator powers to ban members. I don't know any other site admin that does this.

As I have said and I repeat, there are no saints here, nor is that the standard, much less have it apply to a private entity like ASR. To what extend I keep this forum like you want depends on how you act. If despite all I have done to keep neutrality and promote objective truth in audio, you come out swinging with false narratives and reafferences, then maybe I shouldn't care what you think or say.
