New Buckeye Measurements

While I was browsing Google on my phone while laying on the couch, I saw that Stereophile put them in the joint budget products of the year category. https://www.stereophile.com/content/stereophiles-products-2025-joint-budget-products-year

We need to be grateful to @Kal Rubinson for being beacon of sanity among Stereophile contributors.
Still having slight hope to read sentence “this design is completely broken and I have no idea what is there to like about it” from @John Atkinson :-) [had Jim, sorry for typo]
EDIT: I meant it in context of some speakers designs, that frequent the thread Worst measuring loudspeakers, where John is too diplomatic, in my opinion.

Thank you for posting the links to these reviews and measurements. Worth the read, and I am glad that you (John) will consider such a product with an open mind, one that is not all that "esoteric", nor with a stratospheric price tag, but that performs exceptionally well.

Sadly, below your article I had to experience reader feedback like this gem:

I hope this snooty reader will return to the safety of their Burmesters tout de suite before they suffer any further emotional harm...
Using copious amounts of feedback in lowpass filters (=resonance ) is actually a useful technique for your synthesizer patch really becoming alive. Infact it's the sign of a good design when the filter offers stable self-oscillation. :p

Sure, resonance without damping = high Q. Great for your effects pedal or whatever. Is that the product in question here???

Resonance with some damping = controlled Q peak. This is the type of response that the amplifier designer is after.

Resonance and lots of damping = premature rolloff.

The promised follow-up on the Buckeye Purifi Eigentakt 1ET9040BA amplifier has been published in the June 2025 issue of Stereophile.
