New Buchardt S400 MKIII

An upgrade, which is really a new speaker with the same name, from Buchardt.

The new S400 seems very tempting. I’d be very interested to hear how it performs compared to their E50.

Especially for those of us who will always use subs and don’t need the extension of the E50s Purifi drivers.

Ps, the hiding of the screws in the tweeter guide may seem a small thing, but imo, it makes the speaker a whole lot more pleasant to the eye.

I heard the S400 MK3 last week, and it was great!

I can't compare to the MK2, but I heard it with the E50 - and I'd say it's not far behind!

The speaker was just - good..!!
It was well balanced, it had a pleasant sound, good detail, wide bass, good dispersion - and it looks very good - very well proportioned, good contrast, nice units, etc.
The E50 did sound more muscular and potent - but I'd say the MK3 in some ways were more straightforward and pleasant on the ear!
I ended up buying them.

I live in Denmark, so Mads Buchardt offered that I could drop by the factory and listen to them! Pretty great service if you asked me!
