NEW BRZHifi PAD-30 : Dual TPA3255 +PFFB @ $99

Define bad measurement.

There is very good. And there is fit for purpose. And a lot of space inbetween.

A result far better than the usual, better than necessary, into inaudible differences

does not happen by accident, and demonstrates skillz and diligence that inspires confidence.

the thing is not available anyway... by the time daniboun got to it it was probably getting EOL

i think there's been a HEAP of dac streamer boxes from parts unknown in china that you wouldnt really trust given you know they dont come close to something like a wiim or eversolo but then we are talking about another price category

smsl and fosi also make streamer quasi preamps but i still wouldnt trust 'em... it just aint their wheelhouse

Right. All the brands are starting to make them—even Aiyima; I only just discovered that recently.

It was more a rethorical question. But good links nonetheless. Recommended reading.

So my BRZHifi (Creadvent) PAD-30 stopped working after a pretty short time.

Knob on -> red LED blinks. Nothing else.

It's not the psu, tried another one.

Any idea what that could be?

Hi.

I don't think he liked your 'garage' -> LOL :D

Hi.

For my part, my BRZHIFI PAD30 amp works perfectly (and I never turn it off) in my living area, and my wine is doing just as well in my garage (I don't have a cellar) ;)

I even let my DAC 'roast' on it :D

(NB: no ground loops or unwanted noise—it is absolutely silent )

Generally speaking:
1. Contact your seller/dealer first.
2. Then consider reaching out to the manufacturer (BRZHifi).

Aside from my own bad experience with their direct support, dealing with the seller first usually makes way more sense anyway.

Standard Ali return and refund process. I don't expect it to be very forthcoming, just working. Or else I get my money from Paypal, really don't care.

Kind of need a TPA amp for my garage and looked at audiophonics for a different TPA3xxx unit. Is it possible that these amp boards have found their way into many units? From the lowest 50 € box up to bigger ones and Aiyima I see the same backplate over and over again. Trigger ad pre-out differs here and there.

Anyway, back to the trusty ol 3e audio A7.

this is a SIGNIFICANTLY more sophisticated machine than everything else here

it has EQ control via and App and the BT chip is more or less SOTA given it has LDAC

it has some kind of DAC inside, it will not process analog audio rather it will just pass it thru

also its a basic tpa3255 setup

for $99 is more than ok if you are willing to live with the basic tpa setup

exactly why I suggested it, great value long as it does not break.

Add PocketADC to get the DSP goodies

People hi !

@ TonyJZX, pearhaps but:

- absence of PEQ support on the analog inputs
- USB DAC Input: USB-C, 44.1/48/96kHz, 16/24-bit (no DSD) o_O
- RGB lighting for inputs and codec display (really very annoying and embarrassing )
- no PFFB load-dependent high frequency response curve
- a SINAD worthy of a very mediocre tube amplifier :D

And I’m only mentioning the most obvious issues—should I go on?

It’s a shame, because the design is excellent and the PEQ is quite comprehensive.

However, FiiO is making rapid progress with its products; their next device almost certainly won't have these flaws, and they will undoubtedly bring us other innovative features and use cases—I have no doubt about that.

Personally, and for roughly the same price, I prefer my BRZHIFI PAD30 and TOPPING DX1 II; they are separate components that I can upgrade individually without replacing everything, and their specifications easily outperform this new Fiio amplifier.

Let's wait for its little brother...

Ruediger is returning the BRZHIFI PAD30 because it broke.

It's for a garage, for $99
Hi.

Are you turning a single, isolated instance into a generalization?

That doesn't really reflect a scientific way of thinking...

I know if I am sending a unit back because it failed so soon after purchase, I would not gamble on buying the same unit again.

You can extrapolate whatever generalizations you like from this common sense assertion, but I have not stated any.

You are the one who drew a conclusion and stated it: "...It's for a garage, for $99."

Everyone on the forum can read what you wrote, so don't try to twist the situation around, as is your habit.
