NC500MP has built in power supply and buffer. NC500OEM does not, and manufacturers have to add them separately.
Specs on the NC500MP are quite good actually, but NC500OEM are a little better. Also I have read subjective opinions that the NC500OEM sounds better indeed.

I wish they used a more fitting chassis. All this empty space this deep for nothing... Good price though.

Possibly. Since the @Audiophonics line-up grew up quite SIGNIFICANTLY (with names changed and somewhat confusing), I think it deserves some clarification:

Mono amps:

- NC500MP based: MPA-M500NC, 449€
- NC400DIY based: MPA-M400NC, 699€

Stereo amps:

- NC122MP based: PA-S125NC, RCA or XLR, 269€
- NC252MP based: MPA-S252NC, RCA or XLR, 469€
- NC250MP based: HPA-S250NC, 699€
- NC500MP based: HPA-S500NC, 899€
- NC400DIY based: HPA-S400NC, 1490€

Prices in €, including VAT.

That's pretty much it.

Thanks for the summary.
We just updated MPA-S252NC to MPA-S250NC, because it was a mistake.

PA / MPA / HPA is chassis base (PA for power amplifier in case we will do some integrated ones)
M / S / (T / Q) for one to 4 channels
125, 250, 500 for power under 4ohm
NC for NCore.

We tried to code the amplifier configuration to give a name for each, but there will be a problem when we will release the NC500 OEM one

I think there are still wrong mentions of NC252MP in the item description.

I had to spend quite a bit more just to get units that would fit on my shelf. The @Audiophonics case is hard to understand.

I‘ve recently bought two used PA-S125 XLR amplifier.
Unfortunately, both units are humming as soon as they are connected to power.
Is this normal? Or a sign for a faulty unit? And did the bigger Models also humm?
Would be nice if @Audiophonics could comment on this matter.
