New amp/dac for Hifiman HE1000SE

Hi Guys,

I need your kind support here.
I have just upgraded my Arya Stealth to HE1000SE.

I am looking forward to receive the new ones.

At the moment I have Topping DX5.
Could that work with HE1000SE? Or should I consider buying another amp/dac?
I need bluetooth when watching movies on the TV.

Neither of those headphones pose any challenge for a decent desktop amp, like the one you already have.

The DX5 can produce 1800 mW for a 32 Ohm load which is 10*log10(1.800*32) = 17.60 dBV. The Arya stealth has a sensitivity of 94 dB SPL at 1 mW and an impedance of 32 Ohm which is equivalent to 94-10*log10(32/1000) = 108.95 dB SPL at 0 dBV and the HE1000SE has a sensitivity of 96 dB SPL at 1 mW and an impedance of 35 Ohm which is equivalent to 96-10*log10(35/1000) = 110.56 dB at 0 dBV.

That should be more than enough to reach any desirable volume.

I’ll echo the posts above me; you don’t need more power for any of these cans. Even if you start playing around with EQ, you should still be good.

Btw I would hold off on selling the Arya Stealth. The HE1000se and it are so incredibly close to one another that I wonder whether or not you can tell them apart in a blind setting…and if they sound nigh on identical, then why not save some dough in the process

I decided to keep my Arya Stealth and not buy the HE1000SE.
Now I have the Topping DX5 to drive the Arya's.

If I would like to upgrade my system with Arya Stealth, what amp/dac could you recommend?
Or should I just stick with the Topping DX5?

I am looking at the Hifiman EF500. Or maybe Fiio K9 Pro.

Side note:
I am gonna buy a turntable in the nearest future for my setup.
