I don't think that's the market. If it was it would be vanishingly small. I don't think there is really a market. It's a statement piece to get publicity for the brand. They'll maybe sell a few over a few years but that's irrelevant, it's not the primary purpose of such a product. When your target group is young people that just inherited, desperate for attention... ?
I preferred Goldmund when they used to totally encapsulate Pioneer? players in their own larger cases.

You don’t ship the amplifier to the reviewer, but the reviewer to the amplifierLemme guess... it's a monoblock? Who is going to ship one of these to Amir? I'd dearly love to see what percentage of that cost could get me equivalent or superior performance.
And too busy, it seems, to sort out Amazon's substandard music app.the people who can afford this ie. the bezos of the world are too busy to listen to music
It would be interesting to pop the hood on that bad boy and see what’s what. Hypex or Purifi? lolNow i just wonder how empty it is on the inside,
what could possibly be inside, to justify the outrageous price?
Or it's similar to the Tardis, bigger inside, so that inside there's a complete professional
recording studio![]()
For this kind of product I would suspect it's almost a custom job. The number of people who can spend $1M on an amp and would actually do so probably fit on one super yacht. They probably have a small list of people in mind when they make a product like this, maybe just one.The sad thing is there are people than can and will buy this... yet that money could have gone to a decent charity instead, rather than to the owners of Goldmund sleeping on a bed of cash.

I'm curious, too. Just what do dey put in dem tings? It would be interesting to pop the hood on that bad boy and see what’s what. Hypex or Purifi? lol
I would guess that the market for this product in each of Hong Kong and Shanghai is larger than the market for it in the entire United States.I believe the market is China.
I visited a few times back I was doing international sales for an audio manufacturer. The super rich audiophile exists there like no other country in my experience. Many large custom built listening rooms and crazy large speakers. It’s pretty wild.
