I can't believe that went for only 12 grand... geez.
I met Rupert years ago at an AES. He was working for Harmon at Amek at the time - just did the 9098... I talked to him about all his old consoles and people that rip modules out and make rack units out of them... he just moved to wimberley texas and I fig'd he was rebuilding/recapping all those old modules for big name studios.
He mentioned that old stuff was "just god awful". "... Wayne, you know how far active and passives have come over the years - why would anybody want to use that old stuff ? " is what he mentioned to me.
But man, there are a lot of people that just love that old stuff... I'm surprised it didn't go for a lot more - esp. since it looks to be in really nice shape.
