Neumann NDH20 Review (Headphone)

I can only hope that the 30 is a different beast compared to the 20. Neumann's marketing went as far as comparing the NDH30 to MA1-calibrated KH monitors -- a tall statement considering how well these speaker measured and performed, even taller considering the lackluster performance of NDH20 -- I certainly hope they can deliver this time around.
Would u more likely to pick the emu teak or Neumann ndh20??
I’m used to the Neumann headphones, but I returned them because I’d the headband and the ear pads. I would like to work around that with geekria headband and optional a ear pad swap. But which one would I prefer? The Neumann or the emu??

I am surprised by this review because quite frankly, this is the best headphone I have heard so far for music ... this brand has surprised me several times when it comes to quality. Perhaps I should look into your setup and details more (which I will)

As an "audio professional" and with a glowing recommendation from at least one peer I thought Neumann would be a solid choice for closed back headphones. I have Neumann microphones in the locker and whilst I don't personally own them, I've had good experiences with Neumann monitors.
Well, what a surprise these headphones are! The data doesn't lie and these are not the headphones for me. With a surprising amount of EQ I think these headphones can be made to sound very good (although getting a good fit still seemed tricky) but I need something that works straight out of the box and these are not that, they will be returned to the retailer.
Surprised there hasn't been a revised version with the glaring issue at 2.5kHz mitigated.
Suggestions for durable closed back headphones with a robust response in the bass drum region welcome. Onwards and upwards!
