All,

After long consideration i m going to sell my system (see signature) if someone intrested!
Because of this forum after my set is sold i m going to take the active route.
I really like the harbeth + Quad sound. But like to simplify my system.
Also all the praise active speakers get here.
I only stream tidal that is my only source.
i m leaning towards neumann plus de minidsp.
but in doubt genelec, geithain etc etc we cant listen to everything at home.
Are there members who switched from harbeth to active speakers?
And knowing the sound sig of the Harbeth with active would you recommend?

It's dangerous to make generalizations. There are good and bad speakers both active and passive. Have you tried using REW?

@Pjetrof, just to clarify, what’s the reason you want to upgrade your system? It sounds to me as though you’re actually generally happy with how it sounds. Therefore, maybe keeping the speakers and adding acoustic treatment, subwoofers, and/or DSP room correction would be a better way to go.
