Actually, their pricing is not the same - S360A is the least expensive at 4 grand, 8361A is 5 grand and 1237A is 6 grand. This order seems sensible enough to me.

Well the pricing is tricky... it depends where you buy. Some retailers can give 10-20% off MSRP depending on model. And of course EU vs US sellers are quite different.

8400€ inside EU, exported out of EU $8000 (VAT removed)

‘Just Jones’ is selling his 8Cs on this very forum $8k.

Had a chance to hear these. Great speakers! @Pearljam5000, for a system with no subs, I would choose these over the 8361A and 8351b. Probably the best 2.0 system I've heard. It sounded like actual subwoofers. The fact that they're $2k cheaper(used) is just a bonus.

OP is in Israel though, so importing it would be difficult.

Personally I think Genelec has been making these aluminium eggs for a long time and their track record of servicing legacy models is excellent. (This was for Frank...)

P.s. That fancy lounge chair is for reading - not for listening ;)
The diecast ally enclosure with built in waveguide for the 2-way speakers has been around for a long time.
The "ones" are new, particularly the weird shaped bass units and digital electronics.
I imagine they are exceptional at servicing but, as far as I am concerned, just needing a service is an inconvenience too far.

I am used to using stuff I like for decades, as soon as there is network connection there may be updates and compatibility issues. My Devialet Phantoms are superb but are now 5 years old and already are hardware incapable of running the latest firmware and operating system.
I already didn't like the fact that they had to be connected to an app or dedicated blutooth control to adjust volume.
I hardly ever plug them in nowadays.

Fair points - for the same reasons I skipped D&D and Kii.

I'd go for the Neumanns personally.
I am not a fan of the styling of the Genelec ones and, as an engineer, actually prefer the potential longevity of a design that has been in production for a while and had its teething troubles ironed out.
I also sit too far away from my speakers for the one dispersion to be ideal, if I went Genelec I would choose the 1237 or 1238 as more suitable for my listening distance but I find them less attractive than the Neumanns and I like the engineering that went into their dome midrange driver.
I don't really know about longevity when talking about 560W of class AB power in a relatively closed space.

The back of the speaker is covered by a big heatsink.

I'm pretty confident that Genelec will be around when you need parts.

I know, I was talking about Neumann. Genelec uses class D in all its current designs (barring the 8040 and 8050 dinosaurs).
I'm pretty confident that Neumann will be around when you need parts.

The dilemma is harder than i thought o_O
1237A or 8361A or 8351B with a sub or KH420
What are the differences between how a Coaxial 3 way will sound vs traditional 3 way like the 1237A?

They only offer a 2 years warranty, though. Where Genelec is 2 years + 3 years for parts.

On the flipside, Neumann has an international warranty, but Genelec doesn't. I could ship a Neumann from Thomann to here in Asia, and if anything happens I can just send it to the local Sennheiser office for warranty. Not so for Genelec.

It depends on your listening distance. Personally, I'd take the 8351B over the 8361A in any case, unless you really need the mid bass power.
Be aware that the 1237/8 isn't necessarily better in the mid field, as the way worse power response will influence the listening point response.

1237A has a small 1.5k bump, 8361A a 2.5k one.. we are not talking about 1238A here. :D Sure 8351B is smoothest, but how much does that really matter.. just damp the room a bit..

If you go Genelec, I think you should go with the 8351s without a sub to see if you really need a sub in your room. You can always add subs later.
