I ended up buying the KH120 II, moving the KH310s to the living room, and selling the subs and the AVAAs. Now i am at 93% instead of 97%, but with much less hassle. I also quit audio as a hobby and stopped measuring my room. So, did you get good results with the Neumann KH 310s, or did you end up changing speakers? I have a room very similar to your first one and am planning to buy the most expensive speakers I can afford (€6,000); I'm currently considering the KH 310s. Any recommendations? Thanks.
So, did you get good results with the Neumann KH 310s, or did you end up changing speakers? I have a room very similar to your first one ( 5.5 meters long, 2.6 wide, and 2.4 high) and am planning to buy the most expensive speakers I can afford (€6,000 maximum ); I'm currently considering:
- Neumann KH 310s - 8"
- Neumann KH 150 - 6'5"
- Genelecs 8341 SAM - 6'5 "
Any recommendations? I'm very insecure about my decision......Mainly, I'll be recording vocals, guitars, and bass, and mixing rock music. Thanks!
Instead i started wildlife photography as a new hobby and i am much happier now, spending my free time outdoors.
Your situation is different than mine, you seem to do this professionally. Your room seems to be much more treated than mine. So i don't know but in any case i would wait for the new KH 310 II or 350. If this is a vertical version of the 310 as suspected, it should have a much better horizontal directivity than the 310. Can't be much longer now.
By the way in my experience Genelec and Neumann sound surprisingly different.
