MA1 room correction software not currently working with KH120ii, so no direct comparison is possible yet.Neumann KH 120 II vs Kali Audio IN-5?
Is Neumann's room correction option superior to the (nonexistent?) in Kali?
Is it much worse than Genelec's? I would love to take it instead of 8330A.
Actually I ordered 2 x KH 120 II already because the price was much lower in one (totally good) store, but they don't have it in stock yet. But now my price should be set, if I decide to take them.
E. If someone wants to know, finnish site, 785€ https://www.scandinavianphoto.fi/neumann/kh-120-ii-1059326
If compare to 50w/50w of old version, it would be 120w/80w, at same 0.1 %.Both 5.25” and II just slightly taller.

They released a new version of the MA1 software today.MA1 room correction software not currently working with KH120ii, so no direct comparison is possible yet.
Congratulations ------ I think that the KH 120 II's are quite excellent and I think you will enjoy them.I eventually placed an order for 120II to replace KH80 which I like very much. I am going to use 120II with a 750 at living room. The reasons I choose 120II over the 150 and 310 are: 1) A lot cheaper; 2) I can continue to use the Sound Anchors stands I ordered for KH80s; 3) Using with 750 may minimize the difference between 120II and 150; 4) would like to try digital connection between 750 and 120II; 5) To use the auto standby function that was no longger active with KH80s. I will see if one 750 is sufference for 120II. If not, may add another 750. Looking forward to the 120II.
Thank you! I expect to receive them on May 18.Congratulations ------ I think that the KH 120 II's are quite excellent and I think you will enjoy them.
Depends I guessMDF lighter than aluminum?
If all I was listening to was anime, I’d have a hard time considering less than the KH 420. Maybe get the new Genelec 1-800-DOMINOAfter re-evaluating my needs, and what to accept, I decided to cancel my order and ordered a pair of Kali IN-8 V2's in white, so I can stop overthinking and be done with it.
I believe these do better sounds than my only other option in it's price category - used Genelec 8030C.
I have to accept bigger size, and the upsides and downsides of it. Before I was thinking mostly IN-5, but IN-8 is better.
I might get a pair of subs later, and those can also now be cheaper.
Have fun with your great speakers. KH 120 II got me excited. Maybe I can save a bit, if the use case is mostly "anime songs" from youtube.
thanks for the feedback on th mk2, in your opinion do you think it would be better to save a little more and buy the 150?Congratulations ------ I think that the KH 120 II's are quite excellent and I think you will enjoy them.
IN-8 are very well engineered - we're using a pair for our synthesizer/keyboard and they sound amazing. For the price, it really is a great value performer. After re-evaluating my needs, and what to accept, I decided to cancel my order and ordered a pair of Kali IN-8 V2's in white, so I can stop overthinking and be done with it.

I think it depends on your need for the low bass frequencies.thanks for the feedback on th mk2, in your opinion do you think it would be better to save a little more and buy the 150?
Hi, has anyone here any idea what the KH tweeter is made of? I was asked Neumann “specialists” at Neumann web chat for it and as usually didn’t receive any reasonable answer. I was trying to tell them that “metal alloy fabric” is total nonsense and that nobody in the world ever seen such a thing.
Wow! I never would have thought of that if it weren't for you. Bravo! Many thanks! You could try Google for it, just saying.
So you failed the search.Wow! I never would have thought of that if it weren't for you. Bravo! Many thanks!
Titanium diaphragm with fabric damper.Hi, has anyone here any idea what the KH tweeter is made of? I was asked Neumann “specialists” at Neumann web chat for it and as usually didn’t receive any reasonable answer. I was trying to tell them that “metal alloy fabric” is total nonsense and that nobody in the world ever seen such a thing. And why is everyone (their web, “pro” reviewers, simple everybody) repeating this nonsense for many years again and again. Can somebody here explain what this magic formula means in real world? I don’t understand why such valuable and PRO focused company is using such stupid marketing.
So many useless words… “I don’t know” will be enough. So you failed the search.
Don’t worry as this is similar to the run of the mill questions where a quick glance in the manual would answer their question. And then they feel insulted for being reminded where to read, and then whine about it.
So ordinary metal dome with ordinary fabric surrounding. OK. Thank you.Titanium diaphragm with fabric damper.
And here you are asking a useless lazy question that a simple search will give you.So many useless words… “I don’t know” will be enough.
