My room is 20 m2 (4x5). The listening position is 3 meters away. I'm mostly listening to music at low to medium volumes.

they are pretty loud for me even from 3m away, but will they be loud for you? you can be the only one to say , everyone has their own preference

Do you turn your speakers off when you quit for the day or do you just let them stay in standby mode when you are sleeping or elsewhere?

Absolutely turn them off - like all of my equipment

With the new firmware for the 120, the auto sleep mode kicks in faster, much faster. Which I like. It used to be 90 mins with the old firmware, does anyone know what is the new time before auto sleep kicks in with the latest firmware?

One of my 750 has same issue it takes only 19 minutes to fall to sleep.

they changed 120 II standby counter to 19 min. No idea why
90 minutes used to be way too long. But 19 mins is an odd number, why not 20 mins. Either 19 or 20, it's welcome for me.

60 minutes suited me better, so they were off only for the night. And with 19 minutes, they go into standby every time I take a short break from my work.
anyway i found a way to change it back to 60 min

It's strange that after firmware update, one 750 remains unchanged but another one changed to 19 minutes. Maybe 18 or 20 doesn't matter. Just don't know how to set the time. Tried neumann.control and physical reset, both unsuccessful.

Do they have the same firmware version now? Maybe the firmware upgrade on one of them was unsuccessful

ma1 shows they have same version of 2.1.0.

Is it possible to connect them directly to a phone with these cables?

Dont see any reason that shouldn't work.

Yes, though I recommend checking that the XLR adapter cable follows the suggested pinout:

Many don't.

(I'm aware the link shows RCA cables - The same concept applies to Aux)

Edit:
Actually, a better idea would be to use the Neumann's SPDIF input instead, using devices like the PO100 2024, ddHiFi TC100s, TC100-COA, Douk Audio U2, etc.

Thanks ;)

Jumping in to add to the thread. Just got a pair of these with the MA 1 mic. These monitors are "as advertised."

I'm using these in a treated control room and with the included software was able to achieve flat to within ~2 dB all the way down to 50Hz which is astonishing. The bass extension (there's meaningful program material even at 40Hz) is pretty absurd for such a tiny cabinet (they are considerably smaller and lighter than the Adam A7s that they replaced). The imaging is arguably the best I've ever heard. They are extremely neutral and revealing. I paid ~1600€ for the set with the mic and cannot imagine a greater value in audio reproduction.

are these cables still needed, if there's already a ground/lift switch on the back?

i second the douk audio u2 as well, thats what i do with my phone. but only for android, theres something wrong with iPhone where only the last 2 volume bars work. its either i hear almost nothing or a sudden mini heart attack when the volume goes right to 85db.
