Name one traditionally driven monitor wihout off-axis dip at the Xover :D

Coax also augments nearfield listening, which reduces the impact of room acoustics, resulting in cleaner mixes.
Compare the number of coax speakers with serious diffraction problems and wildly increased IMD.

I have no reason to lie.
I'm aware of this from someone who works closely with Neumann, and also...
this can be found in the latest firmware update.
I've attached a screenshot of the content.
You can also check what I'm saying there.
Also refreshing the bigger ported subs (810, 870) with MA1 compatibility and AES67 by the look of it.

It makes imaging far better. Thats why everyone slowly moves towards it.
Before i had 351bs i always thought that speakers sounded far wider, but also far less precise than hd800S (Ofcourse it is more likely bad rooms).
Thing is, coax have precise imaging in every room probably ?

LS50 and Genelec ones have even more 3rd imaging that average coax speakers (could be that sound is comming from one spot).

Geithain are also famous for their sound stage and 3D sound because they're coaxials

First picture of the 870 II (on German page only, nor further info but obviously a new design, not only new electronics):

So, hopefully, the new set of monitors (310II, 350, 805II, 810II, 870II) will be announced soon.

It only took 6.5 years to develop a new DSP subwoofer ;-) I'm sure that this thing sounds good, but it's hard as a Neumann User to get products for your needs... ;- P
Maybe we get now some more new Neumann Stuff in the second half of 2025, like an (early) ,,Christmas,, gift ;-)
I'm done with my main Listening / Homecinema System but curious what they will release.

6,5 years is fast for their standards.
But, their products were "ripe" at release, and not "work in progress" with customers as involuntary beta testers.

See it the other way around it protects your investment. If they release new stuff every 2 years that is supposedly better than what you have, it would devalue the devices you already own. I quite like companies that rarely change a thing.

Maybe the products itself, but the MA1 needed years to run without problems (i was a small part of the ,,beta test,, Programm aka MA1 Start, bought it right after release and as a customer and owner of the 750, i can say it sucked even many months after releasing... only software problems). But thats just my experience, i tested it twice and i dont get warm with the Combination.

Btw i'm just jokin about the release, i'm still following new Neumann Products even if my setup is (more or less) finished.

I dont know the Product Strategy from Neumann, but i can say i owned severall Proucts from them and i'm still very happy with it (beside their MA1 / Room Correction Platform). My hope is that with the new DSP Models maybe the 420 dropped in the price on the Used Market, so i can change my Front in the future to the 420's and put my 150's as surround speakers. KH80s are more than enough for atmos imo.

Thats the good thing when your not fixate on the MA1 Platform. I can still use their Analog Models.

You mean like for the ma1? :p
I don't use the MA1 personally, so IDK. I've read of it being cumbersome to use, but not of it not working.
edit: see below.

So indeed they too have released a "halfbaked" product, sad, but a one-off hopefully.

As the Germans say: Ich widerrufe das Ebengesagte und behaupte das Gegenteil :)

:- d Genau so. Abwarten, Tee trinken und schauen was Neumann noch so rausbringt. Währenddessen Spaß haben mit dem eigenen System, das ist die Hauptsache.

I generally tend to buy "version 2.0" of technical things. Lernen durch Schmerz
