I am using the RME UCX and there’s no indication of any signal in the Total Mix software during this step, dead silent. That’s with a SPDIF connection. As if the software isn’t sending a signal at all. Weird.
You need to configure signal routing correctly within your interface.

I have the UCXII, and i see the signal clearly in TotalMix during this step. Do you have the signal routed correctly?

Well, same, except I am using the SPDIF channel in the software playback section. Isn't it how it's supposed to work?

It depends on what you have set here. It is probably set to Analog1/2?

I have set it to SPDIF L & SPDIF R, albeit the options menu seems to be a bit different.
I don´t know why it does not work. You can try setting it to Analog 1 and set the routing in TotalMix like i do.

Thanks a lot for the help. For some reason it doesn't work with the software playback set to SPDIF, but It does work with the software playback set to Analog 1/2 and then routed to SPDIF. Guess there's no DAD conversion going on anyway, so not a big deal.

Huh, should it be ipv6? I must have overlooked that…

Can you recall any particular threads maybe?
I am sorry but I do not remember. If you find the answer, please post it here. thx

Ok so, is KH 150 good for home cinema, used as FL, FR, Back R and Back L? Distance from the FR/FL arround 2.6 metres? IF YES, what Center channel to match with them ?
The speakers work perfectly for regular music listening as well as home theater use. I know several people who, for example, use three KH420s as LCR speakers in the front. The same applies to Genelec and other brands from the studio sector. The mastering engineers who are doing Atmos also use these brands. So... And btw i use a Pair of 150s in the front and kh80 in the back. Its perfect and i can easily drive the system over 100dB at 3m Listening distance (with Subwoofers of course). My best friend has Genelec 8341 with an even bigger room and drive them with even higher SPLs and its totally fun, crystal clear. So, just do it it will be work and is propably even better than any consumer cinema speaker like a klipsch, b&w or similiar

Did you compare the sound of 8341 and KH150?

My best friend has the same setup like me with the same subs, also home theatre etc. Just that ive the 150s and he the 8341 - and its impossible to compare speakers when theyre not side by side, specially he & i uses DSP for the subwoofers and EQs etc. But i know his system and mine. Both are for me exactly the sound i like...

They just released a new firmware update, "1_1_14-2760."
Does anyone have any information about what's been improved/corrected/fixed?

By the way, I have good information that the KH310-II is close to release, and I've also heard something about a KH350...

We'll keep an eye out.

When?

To get a cinema experience just use the type of speakers that you can find in the best movie theatres
I.e. excellent PA speakers

Cinema experience for me is poor sound quality that is way too loud, nebulous imaging, rear and side channels that draw attention to themselves, a screen that is worse than my TV at home, other people making noises. Last time I went the center channel kept going out/distorting and someone turned the lights on half way through. My home setup sounds way better than a theater and is far more engaging and impactful. Not really sure why anyone goes to them anymore.

You are right by i also said good pa systems like the best EV for instance
In a small to medium room pa is not the best choice I agree
But i read above 100dB spls mentioned
A great pa system will provide 120dB with similar distortion levels
Moreover also in jazz clubs they use good quality pa speakers
They are not cheap products those that ruin pa speakers reputation imho
