Neuman MA-1 with two KH750 and KH 120 II

I’d like to connect two Neumann KH 750 subwoofers and two KH 120 II monitors—a simple question: How do I connect them so they work with the MA-1 software? Or, what’s the best-quality connection?

1. Main use: with an analog player (analog output from the CD player)

2. Is it possible to also use a digital player (digital output from a streamer)?

This is the connection diagram that shows up when setting up the system configuration in the MA1 software when you select the stereo subwoofer option.

In my case, I was still able to get it to work with MA1 using a digital connection between the subwoofers and the speakers as shown in the manual using rca jack to bnc digital cables. Not sure if it makes a difference sound-wise but doing it this way does skip additional ADC-DAC conversion. The only issue I've encountered with this setup is that while the subs go to standby in 20 minutes as usual, now it takes the studio monitors 40 minutes to go on standby with the digital connection vs. the analog connection. They all wake up reliably though once an audio signal is detected.

To answer your questions:

1. You will need a pre-amp with rca unbalanced inputs and xlr balanced outputs and volume control. In my case, I went with the Topping L70 since I have a turntable and I also have headphones. I also have a Focusrite Scarlet Solo 4th Gen audio interface that I only use for MA1 calibration.
2. I think it's possible as long the source has an SPDIF coax output. It's supposed to be daisy chained as shown below for minimizing latency.
