Need to replace 20 year old AVR

For the first time in 30 years our weekend movie/series was watched using nothing but TV speakers. It was absolutely devastating. Couldn't understand anything being said. Pretty sure there was nothing under ~200Hz or so. I almost wept openly.

Hopefully the 3800 will go on sale soon, it is now at $1799 open box at Gibby if ypu absolutely cant wait.
