Thanks again to all the members who gave advice!
In the end, I went with a soundbar. I was surprised that only a few models had both built-in room correction and the analog input I required. Based on a RTINGS review, I chose the TCL S55H, and it delivered. Its auto-calibration system works using a phone microphone, it has all the inputs I need, it plays loud enough to make me worry about my neighbors. For just $150, it’s an absolute steal—and (unpopular opinion) it’s as enjoyable to listen to as my Genelec 8030C.
