Need help with near field speakers - Noob alert

also on another note i have been listening to the speaker they seem to have reduced the resonance all of sudden . I was playing around the dip switches and something has changed ( same setting as before ) . Does placing the speaker at the position and then applying the dip switch setting make a difference ( like the speaker is actively listening to the sound waves and then applying the settings or is it preinstalled EQ applied ). I reset the dip switches and reapplied the settings while not moving the speaker at all.

The speaker sounds waoooo. Thanks for listening to me all the way really appreciate it @Roland68 . Thanks to @staticV3 @AnalogSteph for reading my posts.

Weird but I'll take it.
The thing is that I found a volume level where the around 100 and 200-300 frequencies were resonating and they now don't at this new volume. If I have to increase the volume I'll need to buy a stand as the desk setup really doesn't work really well.
If you still need a test track this one has nice synth bass around 50 Hz:
(Hitomitoi - GO NO GO)

This has no issues at all . Thanks for your inputs

Hi im looking for speakers for my PC. I tried the edifier r1855db and found the bass to be over powering at lower levels of volume. The speaker kept producing rrrrrrrr kinda sound at the slightest of base while the vocals were like from very far away. The constant hummmming sound from the bass extensions was irritating to say the least when sitting so close to the speakers and more we reduce the volume the vocals disappear leaving behind only the base. I was thinking about edifier mr4 or Kali LP 6 . Please suggest would any of these fit the description im looking for . I see with mr4 there is a slide in measurements while kali is flat . which is better for sitting and listening close to the speaker without the irritating bass . Speaker to be purchased in india and active speaker is what im looking for. looking for natural clear producing as recorded at the source output with clear vocals and instrument. the speakers will be used only for desk use and fairly low volumes with time to time mid range volumes. also YouTube listening the edifier produced a very heavy sound for the vocals like im in some theatre with bass over powering evrything. I turned down the bass and still the issue persisted.

Requirement - nice vocals / mids and less bass ( like base extension and less of the rumble ) .

EDIFIRE MR4.

I'm using them every day. They do a great job and are not TOOOOO loud.

I mixed this on them.

I have the sub bass unit and if I turn off the mains ( the MR4's ) the sub bass is doing almost nothing. So there is no sub bass in my mix.
( a tiny bit of spill... )

If you can get the MR4 where you are I would urge you to try them, in the future if you are still
doing your thing you can upgrade to something much better. and $$$....

I set them to studio ( red light ) and the tone controls to ZERO.

Totally worth it in my mind. They cost $180 NZD ( on special ) down here in New Zealand.
and I now wish I had bought a SECOND PAIR instead of the sub... ( for quad sound...)

Mate.
