Hello everyone,
I have a Parasound Halo Integrated amplifier (the original HINT, not the HINT 6).
A firmware update failed, and now the amplifier is completely undetected over USB.
Symptoms:
- Not appearing in Windows Device Manager
- Not detected by VIA DFU Tools / USBView
- Only “USB Mass Storage Device (offline)” sometimes appears as a ghost device
- Analog inputs work normally
- USB input fully dead
- Tried different cables, ports, PCs
- VIA DFUTool does not detect the device at all
If anyone has:
- The original HINT USB firmware
- A DFU recovery file
- Instructions for forcing the USB interface into bootloader mode
- Experience with restoring HINT or similar VIA USB audio devices
…I would be extremely grateful. Parasound support has not replied, and EU distributors cannot help.
Thank you in advance!
