Hi all. I recently purchased a set of Hifiman Ananda Nanos on an open box discount from Hifiman and need some Amp/DAC recommendations. I was looking at the Schiit Magni Unity for $189 as I have used the Schiit Hel in the past when I was just using my headphones for gaming. I recently decided to go a little deeper into the headphone game, which lead to my purchasing the Nanos after having the Hifiman HE400se as my first set of planar headphones. I very much enjoyed the sound of the HE400se, and when I found the Nanos discounted so nicely I decided to jump on them. I now need your assistance in finding a good amp/DAC combo to get the most out of the Nanos. I like a lot of different types of music from Classical to more modern stuff like Rush, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Chris Stapleton as examples. I will mostly be using them at my desktop in my home office and would like to keep the budget between $500 and $750 all-in for amp, DAC and cables. Thank you in advance for your kind assistance.

What do you use for the 400SE? I would stick with that and find a way to use EQ in your existing set up

The Ananda is a pretty sensitive headphone IIRC.

Even something like the Topping DX1 will have more than enough headroom, with noise and distortion characteristics far exceeding the abilities of the human ear.

Beyond that, only DSP can give you increase sound quality.
