Just what was left in the budget! 30 band EQ vs 10 of the WiiM Ultra! But what would you go with.... the 2016 HypeX 700 Eur or the newest of the new for double that, think Lilai is from 2023,24 ish..... maybe i save on the MiniDSP....

Think i will go with one of the below:

1482 Eur's - Hypex Nilai 500 Diy Kit (Newest - but is it truly needed - 2 times the price of the Ncore NC502MP) - not money for wine.....
Or
728 Eur's - Hypex Ncore NC502MP (AUDIOPHONICS AP300-S500NC Amplificateur de Puissance NCore NC502MP) + add a FlexDSP (Don't know model yet) + a little left for some wine

Choose what you like if you have upgradeitis.

Just be aware that it's vanishingly unlikely there will be a real difference to hear compared with your V3 monos.

I think i will give the YAMAHA S-A701 a try! More clean setup, and its not that expensive, looks like it has the POWER and great reviews too.

And it’s something you can always resell or trade-in… a fosi amp is landfill the moment you order it

I am looking at the Evo 5.4 and 5.3, what is it about the 5.4 you feel you are missing out on? In my experience changing Dacs and amps has some effect, but you speakers will always sound like Evo 5.4s

Had 701, it was great with small Wharfedale. I own now Rn803D and AS1100.
No experience with digital amps and I am not in a position to advise technical stuff.

I say big difference and was worth it (like new AS1100 with 950 euro). Moreover, recently I started to use AS1100 headphones out and I find it much better than Ifi and Fiio dongles I have.
It is hard to come with objective measurable arguments, but personally I even tested the newer AS2200 and still kept the AS1100.
Subjectively for my room and setup, AS1100 sounds to me much better than RN803D, AS701, Aiyima 07, Denon PMA 600 NE, Rotel A11 tribute (but special mention to this last one!).
I repeat, it is my personal non measured experience.

And more importantly: non controlled, non level-matched, non blind, and therefore highly subjective and highly unreliable experience.

As for the headphone amp, it's 25mW into 32R, so I would not expect any wonders either

I just say that my Hifi illusion with As1100 keeps repeating, so I am a happy non technical music enthusiast.
I am not here to combat ASR measurements, I made good choices based on the forum.
