I'm pleased you like the M33 V1, but I'll be most interested in your opinion of the V2 when it arrives. The dealer sent me his M33 (first gen) by mistake. But it's probably the best. I have been listening to it since Christmas. That way I can maybe notice a step up with the M33 V2 easier. What I can say is that I could easily live with the normal M33. It sounds great![]()
Apart from its slightly better DAC, a second generation Eigentakt amp technology, the inclusion of DLBC and a higher sub output level - all probably of little benefit if not t a sub user - I am expecting you may be hard pressed to define any improvement - but I hope you can!
I'm considering a move from M66 plus power amp to M33 V2, but only if the old M33 features are retained – for example the ability to send artwork to a HDMI-connected TV and a remote that adjusts the volume in 0.5 dB stages. The SRM-1 remote operating the M66 is very poor and excessive volumes can result far too easily. Good luck.
