NAD M10 V3 is not loud enough ... the solution could be ...?

I Hello!
bought the M10 V3. But I have to turn it up to -10 to -5db to hear vinyl records loud enough and about -20db for anything else.
So I bought the Fosi Box X5 pre amp. It's louder (even at the lowest gain) than the internal phono pre amp. But there is a hum which I can't eliminate.
I will return it.

Does it make sense to buy 2 Fosi V3 Mono to have more power? And: Is it better than the build in nCore in the NAD m10 V3?
What is the measured SPL at your main listening position when set to -20, -10, or -5? I don't see a problem turning it up. Unless you hear distortion/clipping - what is the issue you are trying to solve here?
What is the maximum of the volume scale?
Bare in mind it is only a 100W amp.

Also - what are the speakers specs, impedance, sensitivity, etc.

Regardless of where you stop the correction, Dirac reserves 10dB of headroom so I'd be surprised if it's not noticeably affecting your headroom. I certainly have to turn my AVR up by 10 notches to get the same volume with a Dirac filter enabled.
I‘ve got 5 presets and „Dirac off“.
There is no noticable difference beside my 20db boost @ 50 hz without dirac.

The info missing from this thread is what cartridge you are using, and specifically its output in mV.
For example many HOMC cartridges are designed for use with MM phono stages, but their relatively low output (in general) often equates to low volume.
You‘re right, sorry.
I use the Ortofon 2m Bronze MM

Sorry. I got no notification about your message. I will reply tomorrow, it’s late.

The Ortofon 2m Bronze MM has 5mV

There are contradictory Infos on the Internet. Mostly it says 100Watt @4 and 8Ohm, others say 200Watt @ 4Ohm
It didn´t measure the SPL yet, sorry

You aren’t using a MC cartridge into the phonostage?

If you are using MM then there is something wrong with the phonostage.
Yes it´s a bit strange because the Fosi Box X5 Phonostage is louder than the build in phonostage, even at the lowest amplification of 38 db

It gives more power than the manufacturer says (V2). It is a Hypex nCore 252mp amp.

Ah, Ok Thanks! The technical data in the manual of the V3 says 200W @ 4 Ohm not 100 as stated above AND on the NAD Website "(Continuous Power: 100W into 8/4 Ohms"). Maybe it's just unusual for me to turn the volume up so high because the display of the volume levels is linear? With my old Musical Fidelity, I never went above 50% (12 o'clock). Class/A/B

I have my volume limit set to -28db.

Yes, no update available. I've got the M10 V3 with build in phonostage.
I know i have the same amplifier but i do not listen to vinyl.
There is nothing you can do.

You haven’t accidentally plugged turntable into line input? (Doubtful I know)

There is nothing in source settings to adjust the gain?

If not then surely something is wrong with the phono stage

It is a known problem low volume on the NAD with phono input.

I don't see what speakers you are using ? could be they are to low in sensitivity for that amp ?
