NAD M10 V3 BluOS STREAMING AMPLIFIER

I'm considering getting an M10 V3 to replace my Sonos Amp, mainly as I want the Dirac room correction.

The popping noises reported do concern me though. I saw that someone on the Roon forums seems to have resolved this issue by disabling MQA decoding. I'm sure they did this in Roon, but it seems possible to disable it in BluOS.

Has anyone tried this?

Anyone tried to connect a wireless headphone to this amp? Does it work with WiFi or BT and how is the sound quality wireless?

Hi, is this unit have an options for HDMI CEC? this means that power on and off together with TV?
what do you prefer Lyngdorf tdai 1120 or NAD M10 V3...I got both for the same price?
speakers are Monitor Audio 100 gold 6 and amp XTZ edge a2-400...is this good combination?

It supports CEC, it is in the manual.

I have an M66, and the manual says exactly the same - However do note that there are no settings to configure within BluOS related to CEC. So I believe CEC is simply always enabled for the NAD devices.

Sure, if you like the speakers, Gold series from MA are supposed to be very good. I'm not sure I would personally bother with the XTZ amp with either the M10 or the TDAi-1120. To me it defeats the purpose of those small all-in-one devices - if you are sure you want to use the XTZ amp then I might actually consider the Bluesound ICON instead of the M10 v3. (Unless you want Dirac Bass Control for multi-sub, which when it is released, will be the main benefit of the M10 v3 over the ICON).

Hi, thank you for your answer...I also have checked Bluesond node icon...but I read on this forum that has a big problem with ground loop via XLR and filter problem in DAC (by Amir).
because of this two issues...I decided to go forward with searching....now I found NAD m10 V3 demo verzion (he played fo 10 hours all together) for 2150€ and I think that this is good price.

why is node better on which way?
regarding ground loop and filter problem...as I know this problems still exist...Bluesound suggesting to use RCA instead of XLR

The very concept of getting rid of my NADs horrified me initially.

Now I do less troubleshooting and soldering

Unless I'm replacing yet another NC252MP in someone else's gear. But that's a Hypex design oopsie, isn't it?

This is a good price - if - you plan to use the internal amplifier. If not, I still think something like the ICON or a miniDSP SHD with Dirac for example, would be better and cheaper options.

There is a humming with ‘some’ amplifiers using XLR. It depends on how the amp is grounded. My M66 with my Audiolab 8300XP has the same hum, but it just requires the ground lug terminating to the amp chassis. On the ICON there is no ground lug like there is on the M66, so the easiest option is to use an RCA to do the grounding for you. And you can still use XLR to carry the signal just fine with an extra RCA connected for grounding.

I am told they do nut hum if you use an M23 amp…. So it very much depends on your amp grounding if the ICON (and M66) will hum or not.

As for the filter…. Well that same forum thread that showed the ultrasonics in the filter, also showed that the ICON Qrono filter had especially good timing accuracy, better than the other ESS DAC with standard filter. (Read the whole thread you will find the info in there).

For me personally, I don’t see the filter as being a problem, the ultrasonics are something like -60dB down and in the inaudible part of the spectrum.
Whereas the timing accuracy it showed is more likely to create a perceptible benefit, as that is at all volumes and across the whole audible spectrum.

Dual-mono DAC implementation, MQA QRONO d2a (could also be rolled out for the M10), XLR, ...

Easy chaps! let's not get our NADs in a vice. That could be painful;)

I'm ready t pull the trigger on this one even without much promised bass control but popping sounds mentioned here make me think twice. Haven't they been eliminated by FW update?

What kind of popping sounds? I have it now one month and it is very good device...no popping sounds on my unit

I just placed my old isolators under my M10 V3 and it runs about 5° cooler now.
The metal plate on the bottom can get very hot while in use.
It is weird why they made the amp closed with no air vents.

This month I also became the owner of a Nad M10V3. Unfortunately, I can relate to the descriptions about the noises the amplifier makes when it has to change source or format. Even with streaming apps, when you scroll through the movie selection and the individual trailers start to play. Every time the sound starts and also when it stops, this noise comes out of the speakers. It is always the same volume and does not change with the system volume. Not a single amplifier I have ever owned has had this peculiarity. A C368 from the same manufacturer doesn't have it either. A bit disappointing for the price Nad is asking.
Based on the many reports on the internet, I don't believe this is a single fault, but a feature that the M10 seems to have across all generations, so I wouldn't dare hope that this problem can be fixed with a firmware update.

But a question about the software. With the NAD C 368 i was able to activate Autosense for HDMI and the coaxial input at the same time. As soon as I try to activate the second input on the NAD M10V3, it deactivates the other one. I also have to decide which input it is monitoring. Is this the same for you?

I love my Nad M10 V3. It was my second choice, initially neither considered. I had it after weeks of pain with the Naim Uniti Atom HDMI and my LG TV. At certain point I gave up, returned the musically beautiful Atom (but with a HDMI connection very badly implemented with LG) and replaced it with this one. After two months, not a single issue. I love everything about it except the BluOs app, nice but not at the quality level of the M10.

When I turn on the TV, the M10 wakes up. If I turn it off, it goes to standby after some minutes. With the app you can play your Qobuz playlist and it automatically switches source. You turn on the TV, it switches to the HDMI. It is just very smart like I was expecting the Naim to be considering the cost.

Good morning.
I am looking for a simple system (I am abandoning the idea of a power amp and preamp).

Do you think this Nad M10 V3 is sufficient to drive speakers like Kef R3 Meta?

If so, any valid alternatives?
Thanks for the suggestions.

I love my NAD M10 V3 and use it every day, it sounds great with a good bookshelf speaker.
I used wharfedale, Acoustic Energy and KEF speakers and they all sounded good. But i use a subwoofer to take some load of the amp and speakers with a High Pass Filter.

Does it need to be a small AllInOne box because the SA35 is also a nice device and i see it is on sale now in EU.

Thank you very much.
Arcam 35 is the budget limit but it is interesting.

I don't know if it also has a trigger output +12 (I need it to activate the Sub that does not start at low volume).

As a subwoofer to combine with M10 V3 I have a SVS-SB2000 can it be ok?

I did not understand how to set to reduce the load on the speakers, would this setting be preferable?
Thank you very much.
