NAD M10 V3 BluOS STREAMING AMPLIFIER

Given that NAD promised over four years ago that the M33 would get a firmware update to add DLBC, I wouldn't hold your breath.
Isn't that the truth! I wish there were more DLBC products out there, to give me a choice (noting as you say NAD have been pretty terrible with managing peoples expectations over recent years). But I'm thinking an M10 v3 is the perfect device to sit on my desk, and it's probably not worth cutting my nose off so to speak by stubbornly not buying it just because it's a NAD.

I did try DIRAC for a few days and saved the EQ settings on the NAD. But i never used the EQ setting because it did not sound beter then what you can do with a equalizer. I hope in the future that NAD/DIRAC will be using a PEQ, even my subwoofer has it and it works great.

So i am not a fan of Dirac but i do love the NAD M10 V3 as a streaming and integrated amplifier. It works great with subwoofers and it has alot of options.
I use the NAD every day.

Out of curiosity, are u really using these Wharfedale low cost speakers with this device
I mean I clearly can hear any change with Dirac and it is more or less always better than without (especially in lower ranges).

These are very good speakers :)

But yeah i am going to upgrade later. It is very hard to find smaller beter sounding speakers. (Same size)
I used the PEQ on my subwoofer for the low range sounds.

Its OT but there are some really good ones also in this size (e.g. KEF LS50 META ...)
I guess with these or others you seriously hear a difference, most likely also with Dirac.

Hi,

I've recently purchased NAD M10 V3. My initial impression is good, but I am annoyed by some strange popping sounds when changing tracks e.g. on Tidal - even if it is the same album with all tracks having the same sample rate / bit depth.

Does anyone has the same issue?
I had the same issue with the M10 V3. Popping noises whenever I selected sources on the touchscreen, switched on/off the M10, swiched on/off a connected cd player and whenever I changed tracks or turned the volume up/down on the app. Basically whenever I did something to just operate the damn thing. Tried a second M10, different speakers, same issues. Tried it at the dealers store, same issues. The only time when I didn´t get those popping noises was when I used the M10 as a pre amp and connected it to another amp (Class A/B). But that is of course not the use case for this rather expensive amp. It´s a shame, I liked the sound of it.

Just to add here - after contacting my local dealer, NAD Germany and BluOS multiple times and finally trying out another unit, I came to conclusion that this popping issue is most likely there with all units. It is not a major issue for me, you simply get used to it. It is just that I did not expect such behavior from such device.

Is it known what internal sample rate Dirac is running at on the M10 v3 yet?
(I believe the M33 was 24/192? I would assume the v3 will be the same but would be good to know for sure).

Also, is it known when Bass Control will be added yet? All I can see is buy the end of the year, but that has now passed.
They now updated the page stating

*Dirac Live Bass Control is expected to be made live in the M10 V3 during 2025
The first announcement was "by the end of 2024" and I could understand if they have delays of couple of months. I am starting to be skeptical whether they would even release DLBC and if NAD M10 V3 hardware is capable of supporting it.
I thought that NAD is a serious company.

This situation is really disappointing, because I really like the product despite the popping issues. DLBC was one of the most important reasons why I bought the product at first place.

Ja, looks like it is a general issue. At this price point, and from an otherwise very respectable company, I find this unacceptable. It's version 3 of the M10, how many versions does NAD need to get to grips with this? Good for you if you can get used to it, but I can't overhear it and I honestly don't want to get used to (and pay for) anything annoying, I want to have fun using my amp. It´s a shame really, I liked the form factor, the sound quality and the BlueOs app.

Just take a look at the M10 V1/V2 thread—NAD has been saying that DLBC is “coming” for years to these models, but it never actually arrived.

I’m not saying it will never happen for the V3, but given their track record of broken promises and betrayal of their supporters' trust, it’s hard to stay optimistic.
