When did this little thing climb to $3000?

I was looking for a new baby integrated amp for our bedroom, as we don't want a lot of boxes (e.g., Wiim Pro into miniDSP DDRC-24 into amps is too much clutter) but do want decent room correction and bass management in the box. At $3000 who's seriously buying this over the Danish-made Lyngdorf 1120, which is $600 cheaper and currently offers better room correction for a 2.1 or 2.2 channel system, as well as extensive manual PEQ and more bass management options? Sure, nCore is a "better" amp than the Lyngdorf power-DAC approach. But let's be real about what matters.

At $3000, NAD's going to need to more than a speculative future promise of DLBC for their baby integrated to be relevant. It's going to need ART in the box!

Can my headphone R2R DAC (Fiio K13) change the sound of my NAD M10 V3 if i connect it with the RCA line-in?
All inputs are going through the NAD's build in ESS Sabre DAC, so no bypass.

Does anyone have up-to-date information about Dirac Live Bass Control support for the NAD M10 V3?
The year 2025 is almost over, and the note on the NAD (Germany) product page saying that the feature was “coming soon (in 2025)” has disappeared.

Hate to say it as I’ve been a long term customer of NAD (since 1996) but never trust their promises. What you buy on day 1 is what you’re most likely to end up with. I’m still waiting for the promised DLBC on the NAD M33 five years later…

I was set on buying this unit until I came across this thread. My main issue is with the lack of DLBC, but I'll also describe my use case below and include questions below.

My current setup:
Marantz TT-15S1 with Hana ML cartridge --> Lehmann Audio Black Cube SE II --> Lyngdorf TDAI-1120 --> Kef LS50 Meta & Kef KC62

I also have a Roon server that I am not currently using but will return to the setup at some point.

My predicament:

• I am looking at adding a pair of headphones to my setup, possibly Fiio FT7s.
• While I love the Lyndorf, there doesn't seem to be a solution to add headphones without removing the sub from the line out. I don't want to lose the sub.
• I don't particularly want to buy a whole system (streamer, DAC, pre, power amp etc.) just for the headphones because it feels like a waste, and I also don't want to have to constantly switch the turntable wiring between speaker and headphone setups. (I am happy to buy a dedicated headphone power amp if necessary.)
• I don't want to lose room correction and sub management.
• Also need to keep e-arc for TV

In summary, I want a system that:

• has room correction
• allows for a sub and includes sub/bass management
• allows for source signals to be sent to a separate headphone amp
• e-arc

So I *think* that the M10 V3 would allow me to do all this by running a dedicated headphone amp via the 'pre out' (I assume the inbuilt headphone amp is pretty crappy(?) and would therefore rather not use). The trade off would be that due to the lack of DLBC, I would have setup the sub manually?

In the absence of DLBC, how do people setup their subs using M10? Is there a high-pass filter in the app and then adjust the volume manually?

Also, does the 'pre out' on the M10 send the signal pre or post Dirac processing - I would not want to send a room corrected signal to the headphones!

And they claim there is "support for optional Dirac Live Bass Control".

So is it there already or is this getting ridicuolus?

1. Dirac is always defeatable and so is bass management. The question is how easy is it to do those things so that you can use the M10 pre-outs fullrange (for headphones) after having set it up with Dirac/BM for speaker listening.
2. I do not see any built-in headphone output, only wireless.

I was wondering, as many others, about the review by John Atkinson thac came out on Jan 9 where he writes that there is support for Dirac Live Bass Control.
I can't find any other confirmation about this and as @Mike_Trueman posted above, in the Dirac site it says it is not supported, so you have to wonder if J. Atkinson confirmed this any other way.

In my case, the inclusion of DLBC would make it or break it. But I already made the mistake with the M33 and I'm not about to make it again.

AFAIK, JA did not use Dirac in his review which seems more of an update than a full review*. OTOH, the NAD website says: "**Dirac Live Bass Control will become available in future software release."

* He says "I didn't use Dirac Live LE correction. With the original M10 and the Dynaudios, I was used to setting the amplifier's volume to "–17dB" to achieve a comfortable listening level. Whoa! The V3 was much louder at that volume setting." The use/defeat of Dirac could account for this.

I guess you could buy and RCA switch and connect both the subwoofer and the a headphone amp to it.

Every time you'd want to use the headphone amp you'll have to go into the Lyngdorf's menu and select "Headphones" in the "Analogue Out" menu.

I don't own a TDAi 1120 but I think it is something you can do on the fly in seconds.

The other option is to have a separate headphone setup altogether, which is not a bad idea either!

I have Rel T7X (wirelessly connected via REL Arrow) and KEF R3 Meta going with NAD. Dirac Live is a must in my case and I wonder whether I should use high level or sub out output for Rel Arrow. What do you think?

My NAD suddenly is unable to check for updates and the list of available services to connect to is empty. Meanwhile it is controlled by the app and I can see it on my router’s DHCP leases list though I cannot ping it. What can be a problem? Do I need to hard reset it and loose all Dirac settings?
