I just wanted to post this in case it might someone else.
I have a nad t758v3i with some dali speakers in a home theatre environment that is also treated accoustically.
I run everything thru my pc so i use equalizer apo for everything i do, wich is something i almost would consider necessary today since without calibration it will be hard to make it sound good.
So i did several measurements differently and finally got it right, i thought.
It was still lacking something and finally i decided to redo everything differently.
All my measurements are made with the moving mic method and periodic pink noise.
First i turn off all eq.
1. Meassure left speaker from listening position while moving the mic. 101-20 000hz with the mic pointing forward.
2. Meassure right speaker from listening position while moving the mic. 101-20 000hz with the mic pointing forward.
3. Add the above two calibration files to eq apo and meassure L+R from listening position with moving mic method 101-20 000hz with the mic now pointing up to also include all possible room reflections and add these files to L+R.
4. Meassure 20 -100hz while moving around the mic in as many places as possible in the room with the 360 degree method. Both at listening position and between the speakers at the front and add these files to L+R
5. Redo all of the above with the surround speakers and add those files to surr L and surr R.
This might now work for all rooms and systems, but for me it gave the best result i have ever gotten and it sounds very good too.
