Hello everyone! Im new here so please let me know if I make mistakes.
I want to start my journey as an audiophile. I always look for budget and dont wanna spend too much because I dont have high expectetions, though, I think we always look to buy the best according our budget.
I dont have room measurement yet, but the listening position will remain under 3 meters.
I've found some solutions and want your opinions. Budget around 500 eur.
Of course I know about actives, and looked the kali lp-6 v2, mackies mr626, jbl 306, and other actives in that price point, but I tend to fear actives and somehow in my corrupted head I think its better to have seperate amp / speaker / etc.
The best deal for passives around here is the JBL A130, and I like the idea of monoblock them through this power amps https://www.monoprice.eu/collection...noprice-unity-100-watt-bridgeable-power-amp-1 and call it a day...
On the other heand, I can find the Sony STR-DH190 for 280 eur. I dont care about inputs or bluetooth, I can add a input selector later, I care about quality and future proofing... Is it worthy to mess with passives or actives are the way to go?
Source will be a huawei tablet through my ikko zerda itm01 dongle dac for the 1st input. The other might be a cd transport feed digital to an ohelbach dac (which has coaxial and toslink switch) and use the toslink for tv and coaxial for the transport... I listen to spotify for now but plan to start collecting CD'S.
