I bought 4 packs of Knauf Insulation Acoustical Board with ECOSE® Technology 1.6lb – 6 pack from GIK. The wire rack is from amazon 18"x48"x82".
I spaced out the shelves so the insulation pieces just slide right in.
Covered it in GIK fabric.
Only made one since I had soffit corner traps floor to ceiling in each corner. Placed the diy behind my listening position. Smoothed out some low to mid frequencies, did not save before FR charts.
If I could do it all again I would have made about 6 of these economical things.

Nice neat solution!

One point is that when the depth of an absorber is large, there may be benefit to using lower density material - so it should not be assumed that stuffing more in there is going to give better absorption. I think it's Jochen schulz who did an article about air flow resistivity vs material density and thickness maybe this one https://www.jochenschulz.me/en/blog/rockwool-glasswool-hemp-best-absorber-material

Nice solution, but I'm afraid it scores rather low on WAF.

I have 2 big columns like yours but made out of wood and filled with rock wool. Placed them on the front corners of my room.
