Music You Strongly Dislike (Just For Fun)

The thing about music that I strongly dislike is when you ask someone what genre of music they prefer to listen to , and they reply with:
"Oh, I like all types of music!"
This response comes predominantly from the younger crowd (<<per my limited dataset).
First thing I think of when I hear that response is an internal "Woah dude, get a hold of your self!"

NOTE to Self: From now on ask what Music they strongly dislike.

My musical dislikes include the sound of banjo, middle-eastern, C&W twang, French/Asian lyrics... and of course distortion...
I may need therapy!

It's because they've not heard it all!

I can't stand Gabber. It's like listening to roadworks. You also need to resemble a gopnik, be an Epilepsy sufferer and time an epileptic fit perfectly to be able to dance to it.
:D

That's just silly, but you don't have to compound that fact by dancing to it like that, I can think of less silly ways to dance to such music, it's rollocks though!

I could probably manage to bob my head to it.
But then I'd probably need to check the floor around me afterwards for bits that have dropped off. Missing ears, eyelids and such.
o_O

Anything with Autotune or similar production effect applied to vocals.

+1 for disliking autotune. But not necessarily all vocal effects, if they meaningfully contribute to the music and aren't just gratuitous musical CGI.

Not all vocal effects... just those similar to how autotune is oft overused. ;)

They look like a bunch of meth-heads.

Haha they are great. The music is pretty mild though. :)

Pretty much anything by Marianne Faithfull.

How did I miss this thread?! ;)

I've always loathed Country. All of it. (OK, maybe some exception for the occasional HW (elder, not Jr.) or PC, but very occasional.)
And while talented, I'm not a fan of Easy Listening crooner-types. Mind, I'm OK with some Sinatra or the like, but then there's a point where it loses its Jazz-appeal and becomes elevator/Pop- music.
Smooth Jazz.
Elvis.
The Lady's taste in Hip-hop (what I refer to as Strip-Hop, Dirty South, and Lil Kim/Megan thee Stallion/Nicki Minaj/Cardi B etc)
Dub versions of Dark Side of the Moon. (Dub side of the moon was cool the first 2 times I heard it 15 yrs ago... but after that...)
Coldplay.
Most modern Pop.
Anything with Autotune or similar production effect applied to vocals.
The Duck Dance from any wedding reception.
Christmas Carols or related music.
Any instrumental music that has vocals added to it at a later date (ie. Leroy Anderson's Sleighride).
Musicals. (With the possible exception of JC Superstar.)
Mash-ups.

Hmmm...

I think that's enough.
Thanks for the therapy session!
:D

Late, but great (list).

I known people claiming that they have no taste in music , I have tested this in similar manner .

ME: I’ll put on some music , what would you like ?

Other person: I don’t know I’m not that into music and have no particular taste .

ME: picks something.

Other person: NOT THAT !

:) :) conclusion everyone has musical preferences even if they not aware of them .

Aren't all the meth-heads dead (or toothless) by now? Else, they have moved-on to opioids or fentanyl to truly enjoy slow agonizing death?
More reason to NOT watching it!
Hopefully, they all got through detox and are now back listening to plain old happy-hardcore..
:D
